Documenting Virtual Learning Days
Funded Oct 1, 2020Thank you for your support in helping my class obtain a document camera. WOW! It has come in handy since we had to shut down shortly after Thanksgiving break. It has allowed me to continue to teach the lessons as we do in class by projecting the papers for the students to see, when I share my screen with them. Lifesaver!
I can easily set it up and bring it home with me when we have/had snow days and needed to teach at home. It makes teaching remotely easy. I was so lucky to get the document camera just in time!
Thank you for always supporting my classroom with all of our different needs and wants. I appreciate the support. I appreciate you.
Thank you.”

Funded Nov 2, 2019Let me first start off by saying what a game changer a colorful rug can be! I love it but my students especially LOVE having their own spot to each day.
When the rug arrived, the students had a day off for an in-service. I was so excited to unroll the rug and lay it out for their arrival the next morning. When they entered the classroom and saw the colorful, square boxes....they lost it! Students squealed with excitement and they all had to practice taking a seat on each square! The rug allows for everyone to be in their bubble and for others to learn about personal space.
We use the rug daily for morning meetings and whole group activities. Each student has a special spot to sit. There is no more fighting up how close up to the board to go or where someone should sit. I love it! We also use the rug for playing games or a fun way to head back to our seats. "If you are in the purple row, head back to your seat."
Thank you again for your generous donations!”

Funded May 14, 2019It took a looooong time to get the whiteboard hung up. We had been waiting for for 4 months!!! When it finally went up, the students noticed right away! They love being able to sound out words, map out retells, and share the writing process at small groups.
I love that it's magnetic! It makes the transition from one group to another so easy!
We have only had the whiteboard mupmfornanfew.weeka, but WOW! What a difference it makes! This was a much needed item!
Again, thank you for your support!!!”

Funded Mar 8, 2019Thank you for supporting my class. The students (and me) love our new pencil sharpeners. We are really enjoying using the gel pens during our writing center. We use the pens in our journals, sticker stories, and to write the room. These pens have made the students want to write more.....just because they are colorful and pens!
Without your support, this would not have been possible. Thank you for caring about children, education, and teachers. Your thoughtfulness and generosity do not go unnoticed.
Thank you.”

Take A Seat: Three Cheers For Wobble Stools!
Funded Mar 27, 2018You can tell by the photos that my students LOVE their new seating options. They can move back and forth while learning and still pay attention. Perfect for a first grade classroom!
These wobble stools have made a huge difference for some of my more active students. Highly suggest wobble stools to all!
We were lucky to have gotten a few extra wobble stools that we have shared with other teachers. The wobble stools are popular across all grade levels!
Thank you again to all of our donors and Ripple.”

Funded Jan 29, 2018When we first found out we were fully funded, it didn't really sink in. When the materials started to arrive it became more real. Whenever we were told there was a box in the office for,our classroom, the students would burst out cheering.
We are thrilled with out flexible seating. Each student is currently trying out what seating works best for them. The stools are a HUGE hit!! As of now, there is a schedule and each student gets a turn to experiment Th the flexible seating. The beanbag chairs have been added to,our reading area.
Since the stools are a huge hit, my goal is to get more stools for my classroom. I would love for each student to be given a stool at their seat. I would need 21 more stools at a cost of $1,400.00 total. The stools are the perfect height for a first grade classroom and allow enough wiggle room for students to still learn but get the movement that their bodies need at this young age. Going forward, that is my goal.
A huge thank you to our friends and family for donations. And a huge thank you to Osh Kosh B Gosh. Without you fully funding the project, we never would have had this opportunity. Thank you so much!!”
