Light Up Learning
Funded Mar 23, 2022Thank you so much for funding our Light up Learning project. Our students have absolutely loved all of the new additions to our light table. We have a high level of students with autism in our class and these new materials have been such a fun addition. From the sensory beads to the tactile blocks and letters, it's been such a treat watching them engage with our new materials each day. It's been so rewarding watching them interact and create—while also helping meet their sensory needs. Thank you so much for making all of this possible!!!”

Funded Jan 14, 2022Thank you so much for supporting our project. Our students have had so much fun practicing early literacy skills in our classroom. We have worked in identifying letters and letter sounds, telling and retelling stories, and learning nursery rhymes and finger plays. For some of our English Language Learners, these materials have been so beneficial to have hands on materials to help them understand some of these pre-literacy concepts. It has made our large group time much more engaging. Thank you so much!!”

Funded Dec 16, 2021Thank you so much for contributing to our project, "Read, Play, Learn".
We have had so much fun in our classroom practicing retelling stories and acting out our favorite stories with the materials provided in this project. It has really brought reading to life and made going to our library center more enjoyable and interactive.
Our students were so excited when we first received the materials. We practiced reading some of our favorite stories and gave them the materials and showed them how to they could retell the story on their own with the different props and puppets. They absolutely loved it.
Having this project funded has made such an impact in our classroom and we cannot thank you enough!”

Don’t Be Puzzled
Funded Dec 26, 2021Thank you so much for funding our project, "Don't be Puzzled".
Since the pandemic and introduction of virtual learning, we noticed coming back to in person instruction that our students struggled with fine motor skills and spatial reasoning skills needed to complete tasks such as completing a puzzle. While we have puzzles in our classroom, our students became disengaged because they couldn't complete them and our puzzle center was an unpopular choice in our center rotations.
Receiving these puzzles has been a gamechanger. They are simple enough that the students have been able to be successful in completing them independently but with the sounds and interactive features, they are choosing to come to the puzzle center daily to try them. It's helped boost their confidence and we are able to begin introducing more difficult puzzles and help teach them how to complete them without the frustration level they experienced before. We are so grateful to you for helping us fund this project!!!”

Assessment Made Fun!
Funded Dec 14, 2021Thank you so much for funding our project "Assessment Made Fun".
What a difference this project has made in collecting assessment data in our classroom. Trying to get meaningful data from preschool students can be a daunting task and this project has been a total gamechanger in our classroom.
A great example of this is the amount of student growth in areas such as letter sound knowledge, shape knowledge, and color knowledge from the fall data collection to the spring. Students love playing the different letter knowledge games and has made collecting assessment data fun, rather than the chore it can sometimes seem like.
When we first got the boxes with the materials inside, our students were so excited. We started introducing the materials in a small group setting so we could show the students how to play the games and interact with the materials. Now these are some of the most popular items in our classroom and our students are learning and having fun at the same time.”

Tiny Picassos
Funded Jan 23, 2020We cannot begin to thank you enough for your generous donation to our classroom. Our students have loved having so many options in the art center and they have created so many masterpieces. From collages to sculptures and watercolor art...it has been amazing to see their creativity come to life. Our classroom has become a bright and engaging space full of student work. Our art center has a waiting list because it has become so popular. The kids fine motor skills have improved so much and even their communication skills, in being able to describe their art work. We cannot thank you enough for the generous gift.”

Funded Oct 23, 2019Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. Our students have loved dressing up in our new dress up clothes. We have loved seeing them act like a nurse, police officer, firefighter, etc. As soon as got our boxes in the mail, we opened them up as a class during large group. The kids faces were priceless. They were so excited and joyful and could not wait to try them on at center time. Before this—we had some kids pick dramatic play but typically they just played with dolls or food. Now they all want to dress up and act out different career. It's been a game changer for sure!”

Funded Oct 1, 2019Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom! Our students have loved having different vehicles/accessories for our block center.
We introduced all of our new materials at large group and if you could have seen their faces! The loved seeing this so much and couldn't wait to play with them.
Every day they are so excited to drive their vehicles on pretend roads or talk to their friends about their different vehicles during block play. We have built ramps, bridges, roads—it has added so much to our center and we cannot thank you enough.”

Funded Oct 3, 2019Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. Thanks to your generous donation we have been able to introduce a new activity called Make it Monday. Every 2 weeks, we introduce one of the new food units (I.e. pasta, cookies, etc.) to our dramatic play center. Prior to letting the kids use it—we make the activity together as a class in real life. It has been a huge hit and it is so impressive how the kids remember and use those materials appropriately in the kitchen center. We introduced all of the materials at large group and the kids have been so excited when we bring out a new item. We cannot thank you enough.”

Funded Sep 26, 2019Thank you so much for donating towards getting multi-cultural dolls for our center. Our students have played with them everyday—they have been well loved! We introduced them during large group and they were so excited and wanted to play with them immediately. Even weeks later, they still get so excited to play with them in our dramatic play center. We have worked on their adaptive skills by having them practice feeding and dressing the babies. We have even used the babies and let some of our students with autism hold them during story time to help keep them engaged. We cannot thank you enough for your generous donation.”
