Our school serves homeless and at-risk children and their families. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Most of our students' families regularly go without life’s basic necessities, such as housing, food, clothing, water, medical care, and hygiene. We are very lucky to receive donations and assistance from the community in order to provide our students with food, clothing, and even dental and medical care. Furthermore, most of our students' first language is not English. They manage to learn a second language as well as the curriculum in a school year. Despite the many difficulties our student have to overcome, they try hard to ensure they are in school and on time every day, and they put forth their best effort in their studies. They are wonderful children and deserve the same educational opportunities as other children in different circumstances.
