Magnificent Mathematicians
Funded Jan 24, 2019My students we ecstatic when they learned that our project was fully funded. They even cheered as though they won the World Series when the box was delivered. They couldn't wait to dive into the materials. A portion of our math time is centered around my students working together to strengthen the skills they have learned. The materials you have donated towards gives them dozens of opportunities to problem solve, strengthen skills, strengthen social skills, and most importantly have fun while learning. We will continue to use the materials to master kindergarten academic standards. Thanks again for your incredible generosity.”

Learning and Discovery Through Play
Funded Apr 19, 2018My students were beyond excited when the new materials arrived. They couldn't wait to dive in and explore the hands on materials. Using all of the hands on science materials gives my students so many opportunities to use their problem solving skills, practice following visual directions, and explore different science topics that wouldn't normally have the chance to interact with. The sand and water materials is helping them strengthen their fine motor skills while they feel as though they are just playing. With your generous donations my current and future students have extra opportunities to practice teamwork, sharing, and strengthen their social skills. We thank you again from the bottom of our hearts to the tops of our brains. In kindergarten if we're learning we're having fun and if we're having fun we must be learning.”

Mrs. Brant
Everything is More Fun In Color
Funded Apr 6, 2017When the materials arrived in our classroom the children were extremely excited to see what was in the giant boxes. With every box we opened they squealed with excitement. They could not wait for the moment when they could put the new paint brushes and paints to use. You can imagine their excitement if you remember getting a brand new box of crayons that were fresh and pointy and ready to bring pictures to life.
My students have had many opportunities to create masterpieces with their creative little minds. Having so many supplies at their finger tips has opened up so many opportunities for them to express themselves and show what they have learned through art. Their excitement booms whenever I announce that we are going to paint. With your help and donations I will be able to continue giving all of my students and future students the chance to express themselves, show what they have learned, and strengthen motor skills through art.”

Building Brain Power and Creativity
Funded Oct 27, 2016The day our Lego table and Legos were delivered, my students were jumping out of their skin with excitement. The materials are used for different parts of our day, they use it during Math/STEM centers, and free choice.
The addition of these materials have given my students opportunities to use their imagination and problem solving to create their masterpieces. It gives them a chance for unstructured play where they collaborate and share materials and ideas.
Using the Lego table and Legos allow for peer interactions that is child driven and strengthens their social-emotional skills where they are free from the pressure and stress that academic standards often bring.
We are extremely grateful for you generosity.”

Funded Aug 5, 2016Dear Friends,
I can't thank you enough for your very generous donations to my classroom. The new comfortable seating you have helped bring to our classroom are used so much throughout the day. The children enjoy sitting on them while working on intervention programs using ipads as well as independent and buddy reading. They were so excited when they first saw the seats and pillows that they immediately wanted test each one out. Giving them a more inviting and comfortable area to sit and enjoy reading and learning has helped increase their enjoyment and stamina. I would love to keep the momentum going and eventually phase out all of the hard uncomfortable classroom chairs. Thank you again for your generous donations for my sweet little people.”

Funded Oct 8, 2015I'm writing to express my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The building materials you have donated have helped my students strengthen their motor skills and given them the chance to use their imagination. We've used them to build structures and problem solve. It has given them endless opportunities to feel successful and be proud of their creations.
As you know our our school district has been facing budget difficulties, so without your help, my students would have never have had resources of this kind.
Without donors like you, classrooms across the nation would go without.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Brant
"Maker" Of All Things
Funded Apr 6, 2015Upon receipt of the materials we've received as a result of your generous donations my students kept saying how cool everything was and how they had never seen "toys" like these before. I have begun to teach them that sometimes even though it feels like we are playing, we are actually learning with our hands and these materials are our tools.
We are using these STEM kits and building materials during a time in our day when we are free to be creative and use our imaginations without needing a finished product. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics—STEM, and therefore, STEM education—are vital to our future—the future of our country and the future of our children. STEM education is not only critical for preparing our future doctors, researchers, rocket scientists and game designers, it's becoming more important for every type of job in the workforce.
This project has helped boost my teaching and my students' learning because so many children don't get many opportunities to use their hands and be creative without being graded or judged. This project has given them an infinite number of opportunities. It has helped boost self esteem for those children who always feel like they can't do something on paper. Thank you for giving my current students and all students in the future access to these opportunities.”

Mrs. Brant
Drop the Pencil and Pick Up the Brush
Funded Mar 25, 2015After I received the news that our project had been fully funded our class sat down and had our daily class meeting. You cannot even begin to imagine their excitement. For the next few days I tracked the shipment and we counted down how much longer we had to wait. The packages were delivered towards the end of the day but my students insisted we open them immediately. So we did. I don't think I could find the words that would give an accurate description of their excitement. The looks on their faces were priceless.
My students will be using these paints and materials for so many projects in the next few months. We will be painting pictures of living things, nature, and doing some reproductions of some famous works of art. I'm sure, my students being the problem solvers that they are will find many more ways to use them than I had initially planned.
This project has boosted my teaching and the students' learning just by the simple fact that we won't have to worry if we will have enough paint materials for certain activities and we won't have to conserve our limited supplies to make it last. Thanks again for your incredible generosity.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Brant
Comfortable In Kindergarten
Funded Dec 31, 2014After returning from Winter Break I gave my students the amazing news that a few very generous people helped us get our very own ipad to use in our classroom. They were so excited that they cheered. It was adorable and wish I had it recorded to be able to share with you. When our package was delivered they begged me to open it right away. If you can picture in your mind 25 5 and 6 year olds giddy with anticipation you will understand my dilemma. It was torture for them as they waited for it to charge.
The children take turns using the ipad during center time and intervention time. My students who are struggling use the ipad to work on our computer intervention programs. My students who are ready for enrichment use the ipad as well as they work on different apps.
This has helped our classroom in many ways. The children who are more reluctant to work on interventions are more willing to log in minutes on the ipad because they are more relaxed while they work. It has also helped with behavior management as I use it as an incentive to exhibit good behavior. I also use it as a brain break for a few students who are showing frustration during a specific learning task as well as a brain break for students who are unable to control their impulses and need some quiet time.
Your generosity has impacted my students in so many ways and we are eternally grateful.”

Mrs. Brant
