  • Seats, Sounds, and Seeds: Growing Minds in Every Way!

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my class with this project! The headphones have been so helpful as we have been integrating technology into our practices. The students are now able to engage with videos during research units, enjoy audiobooks that they can read along with, and many other supports!

The planting supplies was used for part of our class tradition of propagating our class pothos plant, where each student plants their own "baby" pothos to take home with them! It is such a fun and special project that we have done for years!

Finally, our students favorite part of this project are the flexible seating options! Our students love having the freedom to sit on the carpet, at their desk, or at tables around the room. This flexibility promotes independence and choice and we have found it to have a positive impact on their work!

Thank you all so much for supporting our students!”

  • A STEMazing End to Elementary School!

    Funded Aug 26, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project! This project was originally posted for our previous class, but now we are so excited because we are starting the year off prepared for our favorite end of year activities!

The Egg Drop Challenge is our all time favorite STEM challenge. It has become a tradition in our class to end the year with this challenge. The students always have so much fun exploring their creativity and utilizing all that they have learned in STEM throughout the year.

The tie-dye kit is also very exciting and was something we tried out for the first time last year! As 5th graders, the students receive graduation shirts. We decided to order the shirts in white so that all students are able to customize their graduation shirt. We are so excited to be able to do it again this year!

Thank you so much for supporting our class and allowing us the opportunity to engage in these fun learning activities!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bauer

  • Hands On Math!

    Funded Feb 26, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting our class with this project! We have used the math VersaTiles everyday since receiving them! These resources have helped to transform the way we run our math stations!

VersaTiles allow the students to work in groups to solve problems from our current unit of study, or previous units that they may need to review. The best part is, they are able to fill self assess using the tile kit! The students love the hands on twist to math and have really enjoyed this material.

When introduced the new station the students were so intrigued and ready to dive right into learning. They were so grateful to our assistant principal who recommended this resource. The best part is, this is a resource that can be reused year after year. We are looking forward to many more years of hands on math with VersaTiles. Thank you again for your generosity!”

  • Chromebook for Creativity!

    Funded Dec 22, 2023

I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation! Your support means the world to us, and I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and generosity.

The technology you've provided has opened up new avenues for learning and exploration for our students. They have been able to delve deeper into subjects, conduct research, and collaborate on projects in ways that were previously not possible. The Chromebook has become an invaluable tool in our classroom, enhancing both the teaching process and the students' engagement with the material.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Chromebook for our students is its versatility and accessibility. They are thrilled to have a device that allows them to explore various educational resources, interactive applications, and multimedia content. The use of technology has sparked their curiosity, making learning a more enjoyable and enriching experience. Specifically, our students have found so much joy in creating Google slide presentations!

The additional Chromebook has also become an invaluable tool for our English Language Learners. With this laptop, we can provide equitable access to all curriculum in multiple languages. It's inspiring to see how this technology has empowered our students and nurtured their individual talents, interests, and needs.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and support. Your contribution has made a significant difference in the lives of our students, and we are immensely grateful for your kindness.”

    With gratitude,

  • Fun and Games in Fifth Grade!

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting our class and donating towards our project! You have brought so much joy into our class by providing these materials!

The board games have been used during our fun Friday period and are great for celebrating all the hard work students complete during the week, as well as promoting team work.

The game pieces and math manipulatives are used daily during our math stations. Every unit students are introduced to new math games related to the current unit of study. These game pieces and math manipulatives make the games more enjoyable for all.

The most exciting part of this project for students has been the bean bag chairs! These are used all day every day! We have a flexible seating schedule in our class so that all students get a chance to sit in the bean bag chairs throughout the week.

All elements of this project have helped to create a positive learning environment in our classroom and for that we are so grateful. We could not have done it without your support!”

  • New Year, New School, New Rug Needed!

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

This was one of the most exciting projects we have had funded! A rug may seem small to those not in the classroom, but every teacher knows it is one of the most important pieces of furniture in the class.

The look on our kids faces when it was delivered was priceless! They even applauded our custodian when he hand delivered it to our room! When we unrolled it and they realized it was a special carpet, unlike any they have had before, they were even more excited.

We use the carpet all day every day. The carpet is a place for small group work, for independent reading, for brain breaks, for anything you can think of!

It's hard to imagine how we functioned for the few weeks prior to the arrival of the carpet. We are deeply appreciative of your donations! Thank you so much for helping our room come together!”

  • Flexible Seating for Fifth Grade!

    Funded Jul 17, 2023

Thank you all so much for supporting our class and helping us start off the year with a furnished classroom! Our students and their families love the environment we were able to create with the help of your generous donations!

The flex-space chairs and laptop tray tables have been used to provide flexible seating opportunities for students during mini-lessons, small group work, and station work. The lamp and LED lights allow us to create a peaceful environment without using the harsh fluorescent overhead lighting.

The essential oils help to create a wonderful scent when you walk into our room. This might be the students favorite part of the whole project! Thank you all again for helping us start the year off right!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bauer

  • Let there be LIGHTS! (& Power)

    Funded Dec 16, 2022

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations to our class. Your support has made a significant impact on our work, and we cannot thank you enough.

Th books were extremely helpful when teaching our literary essay unit. Our class chose the book Crenshaw because it is a book that many students in our school can relate to. Having a copy for each student meant that they were able to follow along, and use post its to mark up the book as needed.

The lamps and LED lights were the students favorite part! Our class has very harsh fluorescent lights and the students do not like having those turned on. These lamps and lights have made it so that we do not need to turn on all the overhead lights anymore. This has helped us build a more calming environment.

Once again, I would like to extend my sincerest thanks for your donations. Without your support, our class would not be what it is today. Your contribution has made a difference, and we are grateful for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bauer

  • Old School Meets New School

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! This project has been useful in so many ways!

Since the pandemic technology has become a crucial part of our education. We use laptops and iPads for every subject. In math, we utilize online math games as well as programs that deliver individualized instruction to each student. In reading, students are now able to access almost any book of their choice! They also use the laptops and iPads to research. For writing, students are learning to publish their writing pieces on google docs.

It has been so exciting to see how quickly students have learned about ways they can use technology! My class has especially enjoyed creating Google Slides Presentations.

Thank you again for supporting me students!”

  • Eyes - and Ears - on the Prizes!

    Funded Jan 28, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom! This project meant so much because it really increased our class moral and motivation! February and March can be difficult month and having incentives have been extremely helpful!

My students faces completely lit up when they say the prizes! They are always shocked by the generosity of strangers. We all greatly appreciate your support for our class.

These prizes have been used in many different ways. One way that the prizes are being used is to increase attendance. We have made an agreement that if you are present for two weeks straight you will receive a prize! Since starting this, we have seen an increase in student attendance. In addition, we have used the prizes to as incentives for homework, behavior, and time on task!

Thank you all again for supporting my class!”
