Incentives for Instruction
Funded Nov 10, 2023I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations to our classroom. It is because of committed citizens that I am able to offer students with the supplies required. Your contribution has made a significant impact on our learning environment, providing us with incentives that our students are excited to work towards.
Your support demonstrates a genuine commitment to education and the well-being of students, and we are truly grateful for your generosity. Once again, thank you for your kindness and for investing in our education.”

Funded Oct 7, 2021Because of your generous donation my classroom has been able to be fully sustainable so far this year. We have had plenty of pencils, notebooks, and extra supplies to support some incredible learning! Without generous donors like you, many of my students would go without the necessary supplies to support their learning. Your donation not only does not go unnoticed but is appreciated more than you will ever know. The students that I serve very rarely receive BRAND NEW supplies for school and because of you they did!”

Funded Jan 29, 2022Thank you so much for allowing me to find an easier way to provide water to my students. This will make sure I never run out and that we can also bring any additional supplies from the office out to the annex building we are in on the second floor.”

Clean Drinking Water for Middle Schoolers
Funded Aug 12, 2021Being able to have a water cooler in the classroom has made a HUGE impact for both myself and my students! Rather than students have to leave class for water, they are able to stay and learn. Not only has it allowed students to minimize the loss of instruction, but it has impacted their sense of self as well. They LOVE not having to use the water fountain at school and have enjoyed having their own water bottles to refill. I'm sure that as it starts to warm up here in Las Vegas, students will also enjoy always have fresh, clean cold water versus the warm water that they get from the fountains.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and from my students'.”

Funded Jul 26, 2021We have received all of the supplies from our Clean Classroom project and my students are beyond thrilled! It all started with the unboxing.
Students did not know what we were receiving, I just explained that it would be helpful for us to continue to do in person learning. As we unboxed and saw the cleaning materials they realized it was to make sure we can be as protected as possible! Of course, they all instantly wanted to clean their desks with the wipes. Once we unboxed the Kleenex brand tissues, I heard a couple of students say "THANK YOU! SCHOOL TISSUES ARE THE WORST!" :) Finally, they were super impressed that we had an automatic sanitizer dispenser. They love that we are the only ones in the building with one.
I want to thank all of you again for your generous donations. It does not go unnoticed when we can walk into a clean classroom each and everyday. Our custodians do their very best but, thanks to all of you, now my students and I can also do our part in keeping our building clean and safe.”

Funded Oct 24, 2019I would like to take a moment to thank you for your generous donations on behalf of myself and my students. My students were thrilled to receive the supplies and it brightened up their day (especially the color copy paper)!
Students were happy to be able to sharpen their pencils with a brand new sharpener rather than an old, slow one. They were also thrilled to have their folders labeled with their names on them and the color copy paper has been great to use for our bulletin boards and to send home letters to parents about student accomplishments and updates on our class.
Thank you again for taking the time to donate to my project, it means so much to all of us in room 230!”

Funded Aug 14, 2019The novels we were able to provide to the students are invaluable! Students were so excited to receive them and could not wait to get started reading! The first two books the class read were Bud, Not Buddy and Maniac Magee. Students really enjoyed reading about the characters and their experiences. Both books teach important lessons like not giving up, and always pushing through tough times. A lot of my students need reminders of that.
Students were so excited to finish those books and move on to the next novel study. They have just been assigned either Number the Stars or The Watsons go to Birmingham. After watching the book previews students are eager to start reading.
Again, none of this would have happened without your help! Students need to learn a love of reading, and you have provided a great opportunity to foster that love. Thank you again!”

Mr. Haworth
Flexible Seating to Enable Learning
Funded Aug 1, 2019First of all, I would like to say thank you for taking the time and money to donate to my classroom. Most of my students come to school ready to learn and I do my best to instill a love of reading in all of my students. Its important that students are comfortable when reading and this flexible seating has helped with that. Students read longer and remain more focused when they are comfortable.
When my students first say the flexible seating at the beginning of the year, it brought a huge smile to their faces! They enjoyed opening the boxes, helping me put the furniture together, and they also helped me to come up with the rules for the furniture!
Now that we have had time to get settled into the school year and give our flexible seating a try, the students are LOVING it! We draw names for the big chairs each day, and the stools come in handy for when we are working in small groups at the back table. Again, thank you so much for this donation!”
