  • Setting Up for Student Success

    Funded Oct 8, 2022

Thank you for you continued kindness and generosity supporting the students in my classroom this year. We have been able to grow together in a classroom filled with joy. One of our incentive celebration this year included croc charms. Students were able to wear crocs, select croc charms and customize charm bracelets. It was nice to see them enjoy the class reward that they earned. Students continue to wear their bracelets to school. Additionally, the treasure chest was fully stocked and students were eager to earn the opportunity to visit and select their favorite fidget from the bucket. All in all, your donations are contributing to students growth and success at school”

  • All "glown" Up!

    Funded May 14, 2022

Your kindness and generosity is greatly appreciated. When our mail arrived, students were eager to see what supplies were inside. As we sorted and assembled materials the clues were all present. We were having a glow party! From that point the countdown was on. Students were able to enjoy a glow party that included black lights, painting, music, snacks and fun activities. Seeing the joy students had while participating was priceless. I know that this would not have been possible without your contributions.”

  • Woodland Friends Gather Again

    Funded Oct 5, 2020

We are appreciative of your generosity. We were glad to receive the brightly colored lap desk, carrying cases and tablet tripod. So far, we use our materials weekly to store our headphones, computer and notebook. The carrying cases make transporting our items to and from the classroom easier while the tripod makes it easier to view science demonstrations virtually. We have been able to enjoy time outside while still completing assignments because we have the tools we need to succeed. Thanks again for caring about our learning environment.”

  • Stop, Calculate and Learn with Math Center Rotations

    Funded Feb 26, 2018

We are so appreciative of your generosity. All of the supplies donated help us during our center rotation time. We are able to use the supplies to further our learning of current learning objectives. We are also able to review past learning objectives to make sure that we are prepared for future assessments and grade level content. Centers give us a fun way to learn because it is hands-on. Also, we are able to take responsibility of our learning by working through problems as a group rater than the teaching supplying us with what she already knows. We cant wait to continue to grow academically with the learning tools we have been provided with.”

  • The Sharpest and Brightest Bunch

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

    Dear donors,

Thank you for helping us bring our dreams to life. It has been great using our new pencil sharpener and lights! Students love to be able to work in a calm environment. I am able to turn off the big lights and use the new lamps to provide enough lighting for students to do work. Also, the disco lamps make review days even better. Students get up and moving working on problems and forget that they are learning. Its awesome to see how much lighting can change the mood. The pencil sharpener has helped me maximize instruction time. I don't spend all day battling with the pencil sharpener for every student. Instead I am able to get right back to the lesson and keep students engaged. Students were so excited to receive the new supplies but are even happier now that they get to use them for the school year!”

  • Allowing Students to Succeed by Meeting Basic Needs

    Funded Dec 14, 2017

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It is simply amazing to see the amount of confidence students have gained since receiving the materials from this project. All of the student in the class that walk to and from school daily now have water bottles that they can refill and stay hydrated during the day. They love being able to take responsibility and make sure that they are ready for learning that day. Also, students who miss breakfast are able to come in and grab a quick breakfast snack. Students also take home chips and other goodies to eat before doing homework. The return rate on homework has increased as well as in class participation. Thanks again for your support.”

  • A Whole New Word: Increasing Learning on the Classroom Carpet.

    Funded Aug 22, 2017

We are currently using our classroom carpet for morning circle, science lessons, and phonics practice. The students love it! They all clapped and cheered as the delivery was made. They were glad to know that they could sit on the carpet instead of in chairs for activities. We are all able to gather in one place and engage in various activities. It also helps make a comfortable learning environment. We will continue to use the carpet for independent reading time and other appropriate whole class activities.”

We are in need of a classroom carpet. The floors in our classroom are tile. Sitting on the cold floor is uncomfortable and becomes another barrier when trying to keep students focused and engaged in the lesson. Although, we will do some lessons with students in their desk and accessing the whiteboard in class, having a carpet will help us in a variety of ways. Our Smart Board is not positioned with the whiteboard at the front of the class. Therefore, another space for learning needs to be created to give my students access to their learning resources. We will be able to do our morning circle on the rug to build classroom culture, we will be able to have personal work space when doing math activities on the Smart Board, we will also be able to do group work and turn and talks without having to maneuver desk and increase the noise level in the classroom. Please, help contribute to the comfortable learning environment I am trying to provide for my students.
