This school serves grades K-6 and the students here are wonderful and eager to learn! Although the school is highly ranked, both among Chicago-land Schools and within the state of Illinois, it does not receive Title 1 Funding because our poverty level is below 50% (currently 47%). This also means we do not receive much in the way of funding from CPS or low-income grants. The school is small (only one class per grade), so fundraising can be a challenge for these worthy students. I hope to add educational items through Donors Choose to help enhance my students' learning environment and keep them engaged in the process.
