    Thanks to your very generous donations, my nearly 500 students now have the use of headphones with microphones! Students use these durable devices to do independent and collaborative work using platforms such as Keyboarding Without Tears and WeVideo. They have begun to create video projects and will soon be starting to learning the ins and outs of podcasting. Not only that, I have taught students how to carefully take out and out away the headphones so they last for many years to come. We couldn't executive all of these amazing projects without your thoughtful donations!”

  • A Picture Is Worth 1000 Words

    Thanks to your generous donations, our students now see their charts, tools, and artwork printed in COLOR! This has tremendously helped students to better access the general education curriculum and understand expectations. Not only that, with the Instant Ink option, ink magically appears at our school shortly after it runs out in the classroom, and for a fraction of the price.   • Clean Air, We Care!

    We can not thank you enough for your generous donation to our project. This year has lead to many uncertainties about our health and the health of our students. This air purifier has brought us much comfort knowing that the air in our room is constantly being filtered and cleaned throughout the day.

    The students were so curious when they saw the air purifier that first morning. They asked, "What is this?" Once we explained what the machine was they felt instantly more calm and safe. They asked about DonorChoose as an organization and were blown away with how strangers are "taking care of each other' which is our school motto.

    We recently moved to a bigger room with ironically, less windows therefore less ventilation. While this was a concern for us as teacher, we knew that we would have some safety precautions in place with the windows open and the air purifier going on all day to circulate the air.

    We are beyond grateful for this little machine that has given us such peace of mind.”

  • A Color Printer Helps Learning Come to Life!

    Funded May 6, 2020

    We can't thank you enough for your generous donation toward our color printer last spring. Due to COVID, school building closures, and shipping snafus, we did not receive the printer until this fall. Don't worry, it came just in time! Since receiving the printer, we have provided students with many helpful and colorful tools to help keep them organized and to make learning more engaging. The printer allows us to both print materials designed online and also to make color copies of handmade materials. It has been a life saver!

  • Padlet Wizards!

    The 3rd grade team cannot thank you enough for your generous donation of a year-long, unlimited subscription to Padlet. Already, we have used Padlet to organize resources for students and for students to engage with each other. We are working in a blended learning environment this year, which means that students are remote 2/3 of the time can come in to school in small groups every 3rd day. Engaging students on our Padlet helps to keep us all connected and allows us to have a digital conversation. Thank you for your kind support of our grade!

With the Cricut machine, we will be able to create high-quality classroom decor and resources to encourage student achievement across multiple academic areas. The Cricut machine is a phenomenal electronic cutting machine. It allows you to create a design from scratch, or select from thousands of ready-to-make projects. Then, the Cricut machine cuts away to bring the design to life on a variety of materials - from cardstock to vinyl. The Cricut machine will support our curriculum and promote growth in all areas of development. By providing information in a visual manner, we can support all children including those with learning disabilities and language challenges. For example, the Cricut machine will help us to design anchor charts that students use for reference during lessons and to create beautiful, interactive bulletin boards. An additional benefit to our classroom is that the Cricut machine will help divert our time away from cutting and decorating, and refocus it on planning engaging lessons.
