Reading Gives Us GOOSEBUMPS!!
Funded Mar 13, 2016Dear Donors!
Thank you so much for helping to support the Readers at my school! The kids are so excited to have new Goosebumps books in our school library. We have been reading The Werewolf of Fever Swamp in our fifth grade classes.
On top of that, many students have participated in independent reading challenges where they choose books from a specific list to read at home. Once they have completed a set number of books, kids have gotten their very own Goosebumps book as a reward!
I have also set some of the Goosebumps book to the side for next school year. In the fall we will be planning a spooky, Halloween Goosebumps event where kids and parents gather together around a Goosebumps story, movie, and activities. At the end of the night we will surprise the families with copies of Goosebumps to take home!
We are all so grateful for your generosity and the belief that reading should give us Goosebumps!!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by #BestSchoolDay and 7 other donors.Cameras for Kids!
Funded May 4, 2015I'm writing to you to THANK YOU for the digital cameras you helped provide our students earlier this year. Since receiving our digital cameras for the school library students have not only been able to use the cameras to enhance their learning and projects, but have also used the cameras in personal art projects. Students have used the cameras to practice basic digital photography skills... But our animation projects is what students have been most excited about.
In May and June students used our new digital cameras to shoot their own stop-motion movies. They were able to use our tripods to keep their cameras steady, and used different angles and composition skills to make their animated movies interesting.
Some students were so excited about our camera and animation project that they started shooting their own films at home with their own digital cameras and iPhones! I can't wait to do our animation program again this year to inspire m ore kids to use digital cameras for art and movie making, and to see if there will be any returners that were inspired to do more!!
Thank you again for your support and for helping our students find new and artistic passions!!”

Projector Project! Students Need New Projector for Library!
Funded Oct 23, 2014My students were overjoyed when they heard we had received a new projector for our library. We are all incredibly thankful for your donations in support of our school.
Since setting up the projector and using it daily, students have been excited about the huge amount of interaction they get to have with their learning. Overall, the engagement of students during lessons has increased.
Through the use of our new projector we have watched videos to increase understanding on topics from the Dewey Decimal System and library catalogs, to winter and snow, dinosaurs and fossils. We have also been able to listen to various story adaptation in text form, as well as in video form thanks to our projector!
Thank you again for your generosity.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Krueger
