  • Colorful Learning Environment!

    Funded Aug 23, 2022

Thank you so much for the printer! My students and I have been using the printer everyday. Students have been able to print their writing and digital drawings on the printer in color. In addition, we have been doing coding projects that we are able to print. We had a science fair where we were able to display all of our work in color with the whole district!

My students love seeing their work that they created on the computer produced onto a piece of paper. Every week, I give students table points for show cooperation and readiness. The winning table wins coupons such as "no shoes" coupon or "sit next to a friend" coupon. They love seeing these coupons in color. I believe this gives them a lot of motivation and excitement to learning.

I have a student named Jayden who is having a difficult time staying with the lessons that I teach. On Fridays, he earns time to work on digital art and coding. He can print that and show his parents.

Having our personal printer has given us so much more opportunities with excitement and motivation. Thank you so much once again.”

    With gratitude,

  • On FIRE for Amazon Fire Tablets!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for your donation of the four kindle fire tablets. My second grade students have loved utilizing them in the classroom. They practice their math facts during small group rotations. Early finishers go on Xtramath.org or prodigy game. During language arts, students have access to thousands of books on Kindle. They pick what they're interested in rather than being told what to read. They listen to books on audio or read books to their partners. Having these tables has motivated my students to finish working on their assigned work. Previously, we had a shortage of technology in the classroom but now I feel comfortable knowing that my students are exposed to enough technology in the classroom. Thank you so much for your donation!”

  • Art for the Undiscovered Artists!

    Funded Dec 26, 2011

This is just a small token of my appreciation for your donations to our classroom. The art supplies have helped my students since the day we received them. Last week, we incorporated art into our reading program by using watercolors to draw an imaginary character in an unexpected setting. This week, students will have an opportunity to plant a bean in their self-decorated pots to learn the parts, roles, and the stages of plants. In all, students have been enjoying learning from what you have provided us.

With our school and district facing the budget shortfall, we would never have had these exciting resources. As you know, creativity is essential in student learning. You were able to bring excitement back into our classroom.

Again, I would like to say thank you for your generous donation. Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms would go without the much needed supplies. ”

  • Ravenous Readers Need a Larger Classroom Library!

    Funded Dec 14, 2011

This is just a small token of my appreciation for your donations to our classroom. The books that you donated have helped my students since the day we received them. We have set up a book check-out system where children check out the new books depending on their reading levels. They fill out a book review for every book that they have read. They are competing to see who is going to read more books!

My students live in a poverty stricken area in California. Our school provides 50% free lunch to all children. Many students lack parental care and guidance, so more often than not, school is their safe haven. Regardless of their home lives, my students come to school everyday with a smile on their face and a positive outlook on learning. They are as bright and motivated as can be. They come to school eager to learn and have dreams of going to college.
