With the surplus of technology available in our classroom, my students lack the supplies necessary for independent, hands-on, and real-world experiences. Through the use of these supplies, applications can be created to engage students in creativity, critical thinking, and independence. The applications will include opportunities for students to practice reading comprehension, written expression, reading fluency, and many more essential skills. For example, the laminator, Velcro, and photo boxes will ensure that the workboxes are durable and can withstand everyday use. The folders, notebooks, and other materials will serve as a foundation to create various reading and writing tasks.
