  • Alternative Seating for Active Students!!

    Funded Jun 16, 2019

Thank you so much for helping my students out. I know they’re gonna love the alternate seating! From the bottom of my heart! I can’t wait to take pictures of them using the seats and working hard in the classroom. I love donorschoose.org! Through them and you I’ve been able to fulfill the best possible classroom for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hale

  • Soundproofing for Vocal Stimming and a Calming Bubble Tube

    Funded Apr 15, 2019

YOU GUYS I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED TO GIVE THIS TO OUR KIDS! THANK YOU ALL SOOOOO MUCH!

I've already had several students ask me every day if I've gotten the bubble tube in yet or if they can release some steam on the punching bag. They are super excited.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hale

  • Anxious Student, Meet Your Calming Room!

    Funded Apr 6, 2019

You have no idea how much I appreciate your contribution to this amazing project! It is with my deepest gratitude that I extend my heartfelt thanks to each and everyone of you! Upon completion of the project I can’t wait to take pictures and send them out for you all to see.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hale

This classroom project was brought to life by The Rebuild Texas Fund and 4 other donors.
The materials that I hope to get would help me to create a sensory room that will help my students calm themselves and re-orient in a positive and safe manner. The whole purpose of an artificial multi-sensory environment is to stimulate the basic building blocks needed to process hearing, sight, smell, touch, and taste. Sensory rooms are great for anxious and overwhelmed students and that's exactly what I hope to create with this project. Sensory toys will be provided for tactile input. The fiber optic curtain will soothe those who are overwhelmed and overstimulated. Soft filtered light from the fluorescent covers will help create a calming environment. I cannot wait to put it together for them all!
