  • Learning With Art!

    Funded Aug 25, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to my students. They have been so happy and thankful to have new craft materials to use and expand their learning. We are all so very thankful for the paints, paper, special markers, tissue paper, construction paper, and more!

So far, the students were able to create posters using story elements from their small group reading books. They were able to use the all the materials to express their learning and present them to the class. The materials have made them so happy to do projects instead of the common computer assignments.

The students ask almost every day if they can use the supplies to make projects for each other and for family members. They love to write letters and paint pictures that go with them. Thank you again for donations and helping provide a creative learning environment for these students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brackett

  • Books For Struggling Readers!

    Funded Apr 1, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my students and donating to my classroom. My students were very thankful to receive books that interested them! When I opened the boxes, they wanted to read Balto right away! They were so excited!

Another one of my students saw the Diary of a Wimpy Kid and couldn't wait to look at all the pictures and get started on the book!

These books have been a huge blessing to all of us! I have never seen them so excited to have a book in their hand with the expectation that they start reading. It truly has been one of the most exciting thing for them this school year.

    Thank you!”

  • New Monitor and Headphones for Distance Learning

    Funded Jan 2, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom! I am incredibly blessed to have people that support my students, classroom, and instruction. These students benefit tremendously from your generosity by having access to more resources.

The monitor and headphones have been very helpful through distance learning. The monitor allowed me to fully see all the students while I was sharing material with them on another screen. I could see when students looked confused, had their hand raised, or left their computer. I was able to quickly address any issues without flipping back and forth between webpages.

The headphones allowed my students to hear me clearly without the background noise. The mentioned that I was coming through their computers louder and more clear than I was without them.

Thank you for helping me provide better learning experiences for my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brackett

  • Hi-Lo Books For Struggling Readers

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Thank you so much for the Hi-Lo books for my students! They were so excited to receive these materials and have access to books at their levels! Now that we have started in-person learning, my students have all had a chance to do engage with these new books! They can hardly wait to read them all!

So far, students have done "book walks" that have helped them choose which book they wanted to read first. They are currently in the process of building their independent reading skills through vocabulary lessons, independent reading time, book clubs, and creative expression assignments.

I am excited to continue to help my students grow with their love for reading and building their fundamental reading skills. Thank you for your support that you generously gave to my classroom.”

  • Books, Books, Books!

    Funded Mar 13, 2020

Thank you for your generosity in giving donations to my classroom. My students were so excited to find out that they would have new books in the classroom to read and to look at. They are excited about the scholastic magazines and work books to help their vocabulary.

During distance learning, students have been mailed magazines and workbooks to give the hands on materials to work with and to read. They have enjoyed hearing stories that I read to them over Zoom and I have been able to share the pages with them to have them read out loud as well.

My students can't wait to get into the classroom for in-person instruction and be able to look and hold these books for themselves. Thank you again for your donations!”

  • Dribble, Shoot, Score!

    Funded Apr 8, 2020

Thank you so much for providing the ladies basketball team with new basketballs! I have notified all of them of the wonderful gift they have received and they were very grateful! They expressed their excitement and they can't wait to be able to get back on the court with the new basketballs!

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and school closures, the players haven't been able to play with them yet. There isn't a date set of when we will be able to return to in-person instruction and when sports will resume.

Until then, they will be waiting eagerly to get the team together and start playing the game they love with their new basketballs!

Thank you so much for your generosity!”

  • Basketball Rack For Efficient Practices

    Funded Aug 2, 2019

Thank you so much for providing my athletes with a basketball rack to help them during practices. The student-athletes have used this to help keep practices moving along by quickly being able to place the balls on the rack and move to the next drill.

When the students first saw the basketball rack they were so excited! Previously they have had to use ball bags which were time consuming since there were so many players that needed to get a ball. Now they were able to set their ball down and run to the next drill and be prepared.

We will continue to use this ball rack to help during practices and games. We will be more efficient as the season progresses and players become quicker at grabbing and placing balls back.”

  • Craft Supplies for Special Needs Learning

    Funded Apr 16, 2019

Thank you so much for providing craft materials for my classroom. My students have been able to use them to express their creativity when creating posters to demonstrate their learning. One of my students uses the painting as a reward for staying on task and having a safe body. She really loves working towards painting!

When we first opened the materials, the students were so excited and wanted to use them right away. They spent the class time exploring with the paints, the glitter pens, and the fancy crazy scissors. They had so many ideas of things they wanted to make.

The next step with these materials is to have students create paintings that will help them understand emotions and different zones of regulations. They will be able to use their creativity to help them manage and remember strategies to help them get through different situations throughout the day. They will love doing this project now that they have all the craft supplies to use!”

  • Growing Our Learning with Gardening!

    Funded Jan 1, 2019

Thank you for the gardening supplies for my students! The students were so excited when the package arrived and they couldn't wait to get the tools out of the box and to hold them. They began asking when we would be starting the garden again. They were so excited!

Now that it is spring, students have been able to get into the garden area and start preparing the garden for the planting season. They have enjoyed learning how to correctly use the tools and they enjoy every day that we get to spend using them.

Thank you again for your support. These students get to learn a critical skill in becoming independent learners and they get to grow their interest in cultivating a garden.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brackett
