Technology Enhanced Classroom
Funded Dec 1, 2020Thank you so much for your kindness and donation this year. Your donation made it possible for me to purchase materials needed to make hybrid, virtual, and in person learning easier. My students and I appreciated the items we received. I was able to show much better videos for instruction on virtual days, and we were able to work without bothering others at the computers thanks to the new headphones. I am very thankful to you for choosing my classroom to donate to. This has been a tough year but your donation has helped us get by little better.”

Funded Sep 21, 2019Many of my students enjoy reading, but the availability of quality picture books opens the door to so much. We are using these books for our interactive read aloud time and during small group instruction. The students love it when I read to them and while reading the books I ask them questions that help them develop our comprehension skills. We also use the books to open up discussions during group and we try to incorporate a writing activity with each book.
We do small group reading and read aloud every day in our room. I want the kids to learn to love reading and to be introduced to a variety of authors and series. I enjoy using picture books to help make each student more interested in writing, grammar lessons, and comprehension.”

Mrs. G.

All of my students enjoy our read aloud, but I have one autistic student who is the most involved in classroom discussions when we talk about our story. He really enjoys talking about it and can not wait to hear what happens in the story. He may not always care about participating during the other lessons in the day, but he really looks forward to our daily read aloud time.”
