Clubs for Kids
Funded May 10, 2023My students are going to be SO excited to hear that so many people are supporting them. They have been asking NON-STOP when we are starting our clubs and because of all of you I can start as soon as our materials are delivered. Thank you again for your generosity and love! We can’t wait to show you what we learn!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Willis
This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Foundation and 9 other donors.Experience Life in the Classroom
Funded Mar 22, 2022Our students, at PS21, absolutely LOVED being able to participate in different clubs while in school. They loved it so much that they are asking to continue it this year! We were able to design our own t-shirts and learned how to make healthy, yet delicious mini meals with no hot cooking involved! Thank you so much to everyone who made this possible! Check out the pictures to see their projects. Myself and class 205 are extremely grateful for crossing paths with people who want to enrich the lives of students through exploration, hands-on learning!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Willis
Turn Up the Volume: Copy That!
Funded Aug 8, 2018Our school year has begun like no other! My students are more excited and ready to learn than ever before and you are all part of the reason why! As I am sure you all know, technology is all over the place. It is all around us and the children. My students use technology throughout the day and it is a way for us teachers to meet them at their level.
Technology in the classroom is a vital part to our every day routine. We use ChromeBooks for math and reading websites such as IXL, Razz kids and iReady and my students were most excited to have their headphones (especially when they have the chance to listen to SoundCloud) but we cannot forget the importance of picking up a pencil. When it is time to shut down our ChromeBooks and get to writing with paper and pencil, our Copy Master is always ready to provide his peers with the necessary graphic organizers or worksheets to get our work done.
When we are not using Chromebooks or writing on paper, we are using our SmartBoard. The SmartBoard is nothing short of amazing, aside from the fact that we can never hear anything from it! The speakers provided by our donors truly give my students the opportunity to hear the content being delivered from the board.
Class 106 and myself are extremely grateful for each and every donor who supported the learning process and our school. We cannot thank those donors enough and love each item our class received. We cannot wait for our next DonorsChoose project!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Willis
