Part of the Puzzle!
Funded Oct 29, 2016Thank you so much for your contribution, my students and I could not be more thankful. They are thrilled with the puzzles they are completing as it allows them to learn how to problem solve, while having fun! The sight word puzzles are a great way for the students to recognize letters and make real words. Thank you so much for your contribution, it really means so much to us. Your donation to this project gives students a sense of confidence and really promotes higher order thinking while fitting together the pieces of the puzzle.”
With gratitude,

We like to Move it MOVE it, we need to MOVE it in the class!
Funded May 6, 2016Words cannot begin to describe how much of an impact the new materials have made on my students. The students were counting down the days until the packages arrived! When we finally got the call, my co-teacher and I were ecstatic as we headed to the office to gather our new materials. We were able to place the boxes on our carpet and we watched in awe as the students opened the boxes and screamed "YAY!" "AHH!" "Look how cool." It was amazing to watch and see how excited the students were to use these educational materials. One student who has difficulty focusing loves the weighted Cecil pillow. The student uses cecil for reading, and places cecil on his lap and around his neck to help him stay on task. The sand will be excellent for center time where the students will have the opportunity to use their fine motor skills along with all of the new pencil grips to help our students with their writing! We have created a special place in the classroom for the pencil grips and the students are now even more determined to write, write, write! The students are anxiously awaiting the bean bag chairs as they will make the perfect addition to our reading corner. We could not be more appreciative of your generous donations, please know they truly have made a difference.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Vero
