  • Interactive Math

    Funded Apr 28, 2024

I appreciate the support and donations so much! I hope that you continue to help support both our teachers, schools, and students for years to come. Thank you again and I know these materials will be very helpful for my classes both now and for years to come. Thank you always!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Guptill

  • Math Flex!

    Funded Mar 3, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to the flexible seating options in my classroom. These stools have lasted multiple years and the students absolutely love them. I have two different heights and the kids love being able to choose what works for them. The comfy chairs were also extremely loved in my room. I will be replacing the ones that have torn in the last few years.

Thank you for taking the time to support public schools. I will always appreciate anyone who thinks to support me and my classroom dreams.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Guptill

  • Escaping the Math Classroom!

    Funded Feb 14, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom! Being able to get new materials to take our interactive escape rooms to the next level has really been a lot of fun. Not only are students answering math questions to "escape" a scenario that I have created, but now they get to rush and unlock a physical lock, which really adds to the competitive atmosphere.

Thank you so much for taking the time to support public schools. I appreciate it so very much and will forever be thankful for anyone who takes the time to support my classes!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Guptill

  • Math Layground!

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to the flexible seating in my math classroom. Students have really been able to determine if sitting in another type of seat is helpful for them. I sometimes kept the bean bag chairs put in the closet so that they could be brought out as a reward on special occasions. This really gave many kids something to look forward to after they worked so hard in class. I appreciate any donations made to my classroom so much. Thank you for trusting me to help educate these students and to provide them with a trusting and loving classroom!”

  • They See Me Rollin'

    Funded May 3, 2022

Thank you again for supporting my classroom and helping us to get fun colored dice. Having the access to all of these different dice has really been fun to watch. The kids love practicing math without the worksheets that have pre-filled equations. Instead they get to use dice as a manipulative to pick their answers for various questions. Some students have their "lucky color" so having so many different varieties was entertaining. I was also able to use the fraction dice and the integer dice in my small group lessons to change the way I was showing the kids the topics. Thank you again for your support of my classroom!”

  • Interactive Math Notes!

    Funded May 5, 2021

Thank you to donating to my classroom for my interactive notebooks! We use spiral notebooks to take notes in, and the interactive part makes the note taking process more hands on! Students love the opportunity to cut out a foldable paper and glue it in so that they have flaps to open and move within their notes pages. This catches their attention and they spend more time in the details. This also makes them more likely to get their notes out to reference at a later time, which is a very important idea and the whole reason that we take notes! Thank you again for donating to my classroom with these materials!”

  • Escaping Math!

    Funded May 5, 2021

my students have absolutely LOVED working on math escape rooms. Just the challenge of getting the locks open on an actual locked box in the classroom seems to be a great motivator for kids who wouldn't have done the assignment if it was a simple worksheet. I appreciate every donation, especially when they go towards projects like this one that catch the kids attention. I hope that you continue to support all classrooms the way that you have supported mine and we will continue to make mathematics fun inside the middle school classroom!”

  • Our Most Wanted!

    Funded Jun 7, 2020

thank you again for donating to our classroom! Sometimes we just need some additional help making sure that the students don't have to worry about little things like having a pencil. I don't believe any student should be held back from contributing for the day because of something that small. I want to always have a pencil supply ready to let the kids borrow a pencil for class or to keep for the whole day so that they can be successful in every class.

You also contributed to provide bean bag chairs for me to make a comfortable seating area in the classroom. Unfortunately, I have not been able to use those quite yet, but i'm super excited for when we do. Math class doesn't always need to be that intimidating classroom that many students don't like to go to. I hope to make it comfortable and fun for the years to come. Thank you again for all you do for us.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Guptill

  • Interactive Math Notebooks!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

thank you for donating to my interactive math notebook project! Due to COVID we had to delay the use of this inside my classroom. Students were not able to share supplies such as glue sticks and scissors. However, I have kept all of the notebooks that you helped me purchase and I am so very excited to use them during this next school year! I know that my students are going to love this version of taking notes, and it will feel more like a fun project rather than just sitting to take boring old-fashioned notes in a book. Thank you again for your contribution to making learning more fun.”

  • Not So Hidden Figures!

    Funded Mar 3, 2020

thank you so much for donating these books to our classroom. I teach an intensive mathematics class where I get to have my students for block classes (100 minutes straight) and I plan to use these books to change my end of the year routine to involve reading. Many students don't realize that reading is not just a skill used in reading class. Their end of the year state exams are just as much reading comprehension as they are mathematics skills. There are so many word problems on the state exams that I would like to use math related novels to help get my students used to reading about math. We do this regularly in class now, but I'd also like to do it in a more fun and relaxing way such as reading a novel.”

In a math classroom, being hands-on becomes even more critical to student learning as the students get older. However, upper level math classes sometimes don't utilize this method. These specialized whiteboards are for the individual students and are created with algebra students in mind! They have a blank side for working out equations, but also a graph printed on the back so that students can quickly practice plotting points and creating lines without needing to sketch a graph on their paper. I also hope to encourage critical thinking with my students in a fun way! Math perplexors are the perfect opportunity as they provide a fun puzzle for the students to solve. They must read carefully and apply common mathematic skills in order to solve the riddle, and most students ask to complete more of them because they love the challenge that the perpelxor provides.
