  • Adding Math to My Library

    Funded Dec 21, 2022

    The MathStart books you helped provide my room have served as a perfect hook for those students in my classroom that prefer reading to mathematics. These books have illustrations that have helped aid my students in their ability to visualize the math we are discussing. The ability to have the dry-erase pockets and markers allowed students to follow along while the read-aloud occurred to monitor their understanding.

    The social-emotional books in this project also helped my students connect with one another because they chose to hold group reading sessions in their free time. Students were able to use these books as a center point in their own discussions when previously they rarely spoke. Thank you for your donation to my classroom.”
