Our small classroom currently has several rolling tables and classroom chairs. My students want the opportunity to move around the room and sit in comfortable places to read, learn, create, and work on enrichment projects. My sixth grade students created a list of desired seating options that they feel would benefit all gifted and talented students at our school. The students are hoping to get a comfortable rug so they can work comfortably on the floor. (We currently have linoleum tiled floor.) They are also asking for bean bags and floor seats so they have other seating options besides our hard school chairs. My students spend several hours a week learning, reading, working on enrichment projects and creating in my room. They deserve to have more comfortable seating options to maximize their learning potential! Help me create a comfortable, flexible learning environment for my gifted and talented students. The students will use these seating options to comfortably learn, read, and create. Bright minds will flourish in a flexible learning environment. Help me show my students that their advanced learning needs are important and valued.
