Social Studies Books For Dual Language Class
Funded Sep 15, 2013It has been so exciting to work with students who love to read and to learn. So imagine their faces when we received our social studies books! They were amazed! We have been learning new vocabulary which is based on our curriculum. We have been learning about families, and how they change, we have been reading with partners and reading out loud. These books have been an educational asset to our learning.
It is always so much easier to teach when you have the materials you need. You have made an amazing contribution to our classroom and we thank you. It is so reassuring to know that there are people who care about our children and that they are eager to help.
Thank you for caring.”

Listening To Learn: Listening Center For A Dual Language Class
Funded Sep 12, 2013Technology has always been an important part in student success in our classroom. So when I found out we didn't have a listening center, I was heartbroken. How am I going to help my students with fluency and comprehension if I don't have such an important tool? I am lucky to have found such wonderful donors who understand the importance of this incredible educational tool.
My students are excited to be able to use their new listening center. We will be able to read books with our partners, listen to books to increase our fluency and work on our comprehension in a fun and exciting way.
My students and I want to thank you for your generosity and for the importance you give to our education.”

Ms. Romero-Coulter

Funded Aug 18, 2013You have no idea how much our new books have meant to our classroom. We have been working on animal diversity and students have been investigating about an animal of their choosing. We have been using the books in order to read non-fiction and get information that relates to our animals.
These books have made our work a lot easier and a lot more interesting.
It is always so refreshing to see students' eyes brighten when they see new books. They want to look at them, touch them and read them! It is almost magical.
Our work would have not been possible without your amazing contribution. Thank you so much!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Romero-Coulter
First Grade Artists Need Materials
Funded Oct 1, 2013What an amazing project! My students are very creative and now they have a chance to show it to the world. We now have materials that can help us create and we owe it to your donations. We are very grateful. You have showed us how much you care and that means the world to us. We want to let you know we have already used the materials to create masks for our Hispanic Heritage presentation. As a teacher I have to find different ways to get children excited about their learning. It is almost impossible if you don't have the materials. Because of your generosity, now we can create beautiful art work.
Thank you so much for caring about our project.”

This classroom project was brought to life by an anonymous donor and 5 other donors.Spanish Books for Early Readers
Funded Aug 10, 2013I really want to thank you for your donation to our classroom. Since we are a new Dual Language Classroom, we had limited materials in Spanish. Your contribution made a big difference and now we have more books we can enjoy as a class. My students were really excited when I showed them the new books. They wanted to read them as soon as they saw them!
My students now have the opportunity to choose books they will enjoy independently or with a partner. Before your donation, that would have been impossible.
Your contribution has made our classroom an exciting place to learn. We thank you.”

Ms. Romero-Coulter
