"Can I paint!!?" my students ask me with a glint in their eyes. My heart sinks when I have to tell them "I'm so sorry, but we can't paint right now." (We do have a little bit of paint, but only enough for one of my ten classes). When students ask me for paint I always promise them that we will get some. This year I am determined to make good on that promise. I want to get these kids painting as soon as possible. I want to get enough for everyone in the school to experience the simple joy of using paint. On behalf of my students, thank you so much for considering this project.
