My group of students is amazing this year. We come from all shapes, colors and walks of life. Together we form a strong community. Especially through the Sonoma County Firestorm we came together even more. Our classroom is like a family. We came together during a time of disaster and supported one another. Along with teaching my students the essentials, I go above and beyond and teach them manners, kindness, and how to express their emotions properly. We have class meetings twice a week where we sit together and share our triumphs and congratulate each other. We also offer each other support and advice with our challenging moments. The children in my class have so much to offer. They are always following the school rules of being Safe, Responsible and Respectful. Even though they might be having challenges in their daily lives they still greet me in the morning with a smile and a high five (or hug). I luv 'em!
