No "I" in Team, But They Always Have Jerseys
Funded Dec 14, 2018People usually tend to overlook donations. They don't think they will actually have an impact or make a change in the lives of those they choose to help. Well, I just want to thank you and say that because of your donations our students and players are more excited than they have ever been.
The donations we received helped our baseball team gain a major resource and that's uniforms to be able to play our season. Thanks to those resources we were able to play our full season and hopefully have success while at it. For example, it's a requirement for a team to have matching uniforms in order to play in a season. Prior to these uniforms our uniforms were mismatched and we didn't look as good. And usually when you don't look good you don't play good.
My players were super excited when they received the news that our project was funded. And even more, excited when our materials came in. How excited? We have been having multiple practices a day because they are eager to keep working hard since they have resources available to help make them better.
I keep talking about how much better our players have gotten and how much more we have improved Andi's sure you are asking, how much have they really improved? Well, thanks to you we finished our season in 1st place in our division with a record of 10-2 and are now looking forward to the playoffs. Hopefully, we will be able to make a deep run into the playoffs and keep improving as the years go by. We are taking it one game at a time but since the season began and we have been using our new resources it's been difficult not to get excited about the improvement I've seen and what's to come.
Thank you again for all your help. We couldn't have done this without your help. We will keep working hard and pushing forward knowing that there are people out there who still care and want our youth to remain in a positive environment.”

Mr. Perez

Funded May 10, 2018Thank you so being so kind and generous. Thanks to your help our Varsity Baseball team was able to receive warm-up jackets to wear before our games. Some people might think that a jacket is not a big deal but what an amazing boost of confidence did my boys get from these jackets. They looked around during warmups and felt like they were part of something bigger because now they looked like a unit. They carried that confidence with them to the games and the rest was history. They played loose. They had fun. And above all, they played together, they helped and cheered each other on from beginning to end.
Thanks to your donation. Our boys were able to raise a bit of money and we were able to get the jackets customized. If it wasn't for your donation none of this would've been possible. Thank you again. My boys thank you. This is something that made their year.”

Mr. Perez

Funded Mar 27, 2018I know there's no "I" in team, but thanks to your donations a lot of our players have seen some amazing individual improvement since receiving the resources. Let's take our starting pitcher, for example, thanks to the Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun we were able to work on a specific throwing motion to help improve his pitching velocity and because of this, he had his best season in 3 years. He was the anchor in our pitching rotation and helped us improve in our win total from last season. Or let's look at our Center Fielder, because of the running parachute, he was able to knock a few seconds from his 60-yard dash which tremendously improved his speed. His stolen base total nearly doubled from last season because he had the resources to help him get better.
Our players were super excited to receive all the equipment. Thanks to the resources they were willing to get to the gym early to workout and leave as late as they could just to keep improving. There were days that we would have two-a-days and work out at 6 in the morning and later on after school. This goes to show how the willingness to work hard has always been but the donations took everything to a different level.
Moving forward as we look forward to the start of our new season I'm expecting a lot more hard work, determination and willingness to get better. Our players are used to not having much but now that they do have some resources they are not taking them for granted. To want to work hard to get better and work hard as a thank you to all of you who believed in them.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Thanks to your kind donations our team has experienced a tremendous amount of success. Thanks to the resources we received we have been using the equipment to train and get better during the season and it has paid huge dividends. Our team went on to have an excellent season finishing with a record of 10-2 and capturing our first division title in about 7 years. Having the resources available helped our team focus on training and getting better.
Although I coach a High School Varsity baseball team, it didn't take long for my players to celebrate and jump around like it was a Christmas morning and they were all 3-years old. My players were super excited to see and to be able to train with all the new equipment they received. For the first time, they felt as if others were taking notice of their hard work and wanted them to have an equal chance to succeed.
Now that we have a full season under our belts and we will have the resources from the beginning of the year I am looking forward to a lot more success for the coming season. Our team will be able to start training a lot sooner than usual now that we have the equipment available. This is all possible thanks to you and your kind donations. Thank you for helping our program have an equal opportunity to compete and allow our boys to have a chance to play the game they love.”

Well, I just want to thank you and say that because of your donations our students and players are more excited than they have ever been.
The donations we received helped our baseball team gain resources that we wouldn't have been able to access in any other way. Thanks to those resources we were able to practice harder, better and more efficiently than usual. For example, we received the SKLZ Hit-A-Way, with this training tool I was able to set up stations and work with a different group of players while a group used the hit-a-away to work on their hitting. Same goes for the hitting nets. We were able to set up the hitting nets for soft-toss, hitting off the tee and for throws. Different stations which made our practices more efficient and had the players motivated to work hard.
Speaking of hard work, my players were super excited when they received the news that our project was funded. And even more, excited when our materials came in. How excited? We have been having multiple practices a day because they are eager to keep working hard since they have resources available to help make them better.
