Reading Is A Discount Ticket To Everywhere
Funded Feb 15, 2018Thank you so much for all of the wonderful books. My class was very excited to see that we were receiving another generous donation from you. This donation was particularly exciting because it contained the continuation of many of the series books purchased perviously. My girls are completely in love with The Owl Diaries and Dork Diaries series. My boys were stoked to see the new Dog Man book as well as The Last Kid on Earth Series. The look on their face when we received them was priceless. I had to check the books into our classroom library system and level them that day so that they could get started immediately. We appreciate your generosity and promise to put all of the books to good use.
Thank you for your continued support for our class and the love of literacy!”

Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader
Funded Jan 29, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donation. I know that my class is extremely excited to receive this book series and will be sure to put them to great use. Working in an underprivileged area always comes with its hardships, and not having adequate reading materials is one of those things I didn't expect. Having such amazing donors, like yourself, has helped bring the concept of a library system and reading materials to my students. They have slowly opened up to reading from different genres and are enjoying the books we've received so far. I know that with the your support and those at Donor's Choose my students will be flying through books in no time. We appreciate it more than you know.”

Drop Everything and Read!
Funded Feb 4, 2018Thank you so much for your extremely generous donation. I cannot even begin to describe how excited my class was to hear we were receiving these books. This project was a very special one because I had been hearing students talk about these different titles throughout class and how they REALLY wanted to read them. I never made it known to the class that I created the project, however when I told them that the project had been funded they literally screamed in excitement. The books arrived through Amazon on Wednesday, and their reaction was comparable to someone hitting the lottery. I cannot thank you enough for giving them to our classroom library and allowing me to enjoy the excitement in their eyes when I took them out of the box. We appreciate your generosity, support for our classroom, and love of literacy and will be putting these titles to great use!”

Reading is a Precious Gift
Funded Dec 31, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donation. My class is extremely excited to receive the Big Nate series on your behalf. This series is one in which they truly love to read. The find Nate to be hilarious. I know that these books will be put to good use during our independent reading time for both my boys and girls. The series itself will be used during that time to help student build endurance in reading. I will also be using them to assess student fluency during our individual conference times. Thank you again for your support and we wish you a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!”

Reading Should Be Presented to Children as a Gift
Funded Jan 1, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donation. My class was extremely excited to hear that we would be receiving copies of The Boxcar Children series. I explained to them that this was one of my favorite book series when I was their age. I remember flying through them, and enjoying the mysteries they had to offer me as a child. I am thrilled that I will now have the opportunity to expose them to it. When they saw how many books came in they couldn't wait to get their hands on them. Again, thank you so much. We look forward to putting this wonderful series to good use.”

All Great Leaders are Readers
Funded Dec 31, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donation. My class was very excited to hear that we would be receiving such wonderful series books. They are big fans of Horrible Harry and Katie Kazoo, however I found the Squish books to be humorous and thought that they would enjoy those as well. Surprisingly my girls were interested in them more than my boys. I definitely expected it to be the other way around. They are already diving into them and enjoying our new books.
We appreciate your support for literacy and our classroom and wish you a Happy New Year.”

Giving Them Goosebumps!
Funded Dec 6, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donation. My class was extremely excited to hear that we will be receiving new Goosebump books when we return from our winter break. Goosebumps was always one of my favorite series of books when I was in grade school, and after reading just one of them to my class they were very eager to read more from R.L Stein. Many of them even discussed how some of the books connected to the movie that was recently made. It made for a great conversation on comparing and contrasting. We appreciate your support for our classroom and literacy, and promise to put all of our new books to good use! Thank you again and Happy Holidays from 3-2!”

Expanding Our Minds One Book at a Time
Funded Jan 5, 2018Thank you so much for your generous gift this holiday season. My class is extremely eager to read this year and these books will definitely keep them motivated. The kids were super excited when we received the box of books, as you can tell from their reactions in the photographs that I have uploaded. One of my girls has taken a particular liking to the Marvin Redpost series and having them available for her will significantly improve her reading skills seeing as though she is one of my lower readers. I appreciated her reaction the most when she saw I had put them on the order. It was like watching someone hit the lottery. I can't thank you enough for that experience in itself. I appreciate your support for literacy and more importantly my class. We wish you a Happy New Year and look forward to putting all of these great titles to good use!”

Reading Is Like Exercise For Your Brain!
Funded Dec 6, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donation. I am extremely excited to receive these books primarily for the diversity that they will expose my students to. Many of my students come from different diversities, yet have not experienced much that the world offers. These books are a great way for them to explore different cultures and abilities. I know they are already extremely excited over the Captain Underpants and the Who was? book series too! Not that I can blame them, they're great books as well. We appreciate your support for literacy and our classroom. Happy New Year from 3-2!”

Funded Dec 4, 2017Thank you so much for your donations towards our classroom library. This rolling book shelf with neon bins is exactly what we needed to help keep our new books neat and organized. The bright colors fit in perfectly with our classroom decor too!
My class was super excited to see so many large boxes come in, and didn't realize that the cart itself needed to be put together. Needless to say the little men in my room insisted on helping during the construction of it. I had to help a few times when explaining the direction and when the screws got tight, but overall they did a great job.
Thank you again for your support towards our classroom library and Happy Holidays from 3-2!”
