In math class every day, I ask students to show and share their thinking for the problem of the day. Students are much more comfortable showing their work with dry-erase markers and whiteboards. We use dry erase markers to solve our problem of the day and to work on our whole group lessons. Students also use the dry erase markers when they meet with me at the small group table. Sometimes, students even use dry erase markers to write on their tables during independent and partner work time! As you can imagine, with 2 classes of K/1st graders rotating through my classroom, dry erase markers are used up quickly. By donating to our project, you will help me provide the math supplies I really need to help them learn about math daily. Students would much rather use whiteboards and markers because mistakes are easier to erase and fix. Students are more willing to show their work if they can write it down with a marker instead of a pencil!
I need your help to provide dry erase boards and markers as well as erasers for my students this school year! My students and I will greatly appreciate any help you can give.
