How Do We See Ourselves, Through Photographs
Funded Nov 18, 2019Thank you again for supporting my photo program. It's been amazing the support I have received from the Donors Choose community throughout the years I have been asking for your support.
My thriving program, now serving over 100 students, would not be as strong as it is without all your support. The cameras I was able to purchase with this grant are adding to my collection and I am almost to a point where every student will have their very own camera to use all year long. And for that I thank you!!!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Baldwin
This classroom project was brought to life by PLUS1 and Beast Coast and 3 other donors.Smile You're On Candid Camera
Funded Oct 8, 2015I want to take the time to thank everyone again that gave to my classroom project. The cameras arrived really quickly and were put to use right away. The joy my students have when the get these cameras in their hands and explore our neighborhood, our school, their friends and themselves is eye opening to me (and them). We have spent almost 10 weeks taking all kinds of photographs and they just keep getting better and better. I am really looking forward to our end of the year art exhibition when everyone in our school gets to see what I see from my students...”

This Is How We See Ourselves!!!
Funded Dec 18, 2010First of all I want to again thank each and everyone that donated to my project. In this time of tight budgets in our city, our schools and at home I am truly touched by the generosity of people far and wide to contribute to my project.
My students really enjoyed using the self-portrait mirrors that you helped to purchase. There is nothing more important to middle school students than exploring who they are. It is a difficult time in their lives and their own self-image is something that they are really dealing with. Through the use of these mirrors my students had the chance to show off who they are, what they think about themselves and how they see themselves. I will continue use these mirrors for years to come.”

Mr. Baldwin
Color Run Wild - Expressive Still Lives!!!
Funded Apr 28, 2009I wish to take this opportunity to thank you so very much for your generous support of my proposal, "Color Run Wild - Expressive Still Lives" on DonorsChoose.
As I stated in my proposal, my students deserve the best quality materials that match their enthusiasm for art and you have made that happen. These very artistic 7th graders are well on their way to discovering their artistic voices and they should not ever, even in these very difficult economic times, allow their voices to suffer for lack of materials. These materials will allow them to create works of art that will be part of the portfolios for admittance to a specialized art high school that they deserve to attend.
You have made a tremendous contribution to their artistic education and to my classroom and for that I am eternally grateful.”

Mr. Baldwin
ColorFest ... A Year Long Introduction To Color
Funded Oct 4, 2008I really want to thank you for donating to my project. The students and I really appreciate all you did for us.
The paint and paper will go a long way in helping my budding artists create works that they and our entire school community can be proud of. I fully expect that most of the finished works will be proudly displayed in our school and ultimately in the students' portfolios when they apply to the high school of their choice 2 years from now.
Sincerely
Gordo”
With gratitude,
Mr. Baldwin
