  • A Color Printer for Colorful Learning!

    The color printer I have received has been extremely useful in my classroom. I have been able to create culturally reflective posters that make our classroom feel more like home. I am now able to print student projects with lively colors to display their work and promote a sense of pride in my students. I have been able to give my students visual learning tools like color coded graphics to facilitate in their mastery of mathematics.   • Interactive Graphing Notebooks for Mathematicians!

    The notebooks granted to my mathematics classes have made a huge difference in our learning. Students have been able to take more accurate notes with precise mathematical figures. Drawing triangles, parallel lines, and graphs has never been easier. With more organized and accurate notes, students have been able to understand the material better and refer back to their notes for individual studying. In the past, creating graphs was very challenging for students if not given additional graphing paper, not anymore! The best part is that I am able to provide every single one of my students with a notebook, this has alleviated the hardship of needing to buy their own (which can be expensive and hard to find). Thank you, again, so much for your generosity and dedication to urban education.”

  • First-Year Classroom Supplies and Math Group Activities

    Thank you so much for your generosity. With the materials you have given my students, mastery of mathematics has become much more interactive and fun! I am able to make simple lessons into hands-on review games, competitions, and group work. My students love playing "boards up!" to review before a quiz. The whiteboards have been a huge class-favorite. With these supplies, I have been able to stock the student resource center with plenty of pens, pencils, markers, and other craft supplies that my students use in my class. I have enough supplies to provide students with the materials they need at home as well! Thank you for choosing to support my classroom and helping me in my first year of in-person teaching. School supplies has not been a concern because of your contributions.”

  • Healthy Snacks!!

    Thank you for your kindness and generosity to my students. My students have loved having access to healthier snack options in my class. In our community, students do not have nutritious, inexpensive alternatives at their convenience. Because of this, many default to unhealthier foods. My students appreciate being able to come in to my classroom to find snacks always available in our snack drawer- whether they forgot breakfast or need a quick brain boost between classes.   • Fun Hands-On Mindful Activities for Wellness

    Thank you for your kind generosity to my class. My students have been able to take wellness breaks throughout the school year and enjoy having the option to unwind in healthy methods we have available in class. Because of your donations, my students now enjoy slime making, coloring, and origami. We have weekly scheduled activities and my students are loving it! I love being able to bridge in small math lessons as we color geometric mandalas, discuss ratios in slime making, and challenge students to create difficult geometric origami pieces. I have even seen students take up this hobbies outside of the classroom as well!”

Online learning has been very challenging to become accustomed to this year. It has raised several challenges and setbacks. I always aim to provide quality, engaging, interactive content for my mathematics students. I have been successful in doing so through online applications and programs, however my seven year old laptop is freezing, glitching, and giving out! On my current device, applications can not be downloaded or crash and it limits potential learning when it fails to keep up with my advanced ideas. Valuable class time is also lost during tech difficulties. A new laptop will allow for break out rooms, screen sharing, sound, installing various programs, and the ease of switching between all applications. This is an essential tool I need for distance learning. The donation of a new working and functioning laptop would benefit students as they would be provided with the best online experience. This donations also translates into the standard classroom as I actively use my laptop to display visuals, presentations, and videos in the classroom! This donation will be along-term benefit for my current students and many classes to come!
