    Words can not describe how thankful I am for your generous donations towards my project. Having a wagon to carry our recess items is extremely helpful, especially during these times. I certainly hope you get joy out of knowing your contribution has certainly made an impact.

  • We Like to Move It, Move It!

    I can not thank you all enough for your generous donations towards this project. It has brought happy tears to my eyes on multiple occasions; especially when the project was funded within 17 hours and of course when my students first saw the materials.

    Imagine...I was busy pumping 6 rubber balls while a bunch of tiny PreK hands waiting to bounce the balls! One student told me he felt like it was Christmas again.

    In the coming weeks we will begin to use the physical activity sets to arrange organized games or activities to build upon the social-emotional experience of my students by forming teams and building upon gross motor skills.

Physical activity, especially through sports participation, has been linked to personal and social development and fostering a healthy lifestyle. Working on gross motor skills, such as tossing/catching a ball or jumping rope, not only helps a child gain physical strength but it aids in boosting social/emotional confidence. On a daily basis my students are provided opportunities to engage in outdoor recess. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to utilize the playground therefore gross motor equipment, such as a physical development kit and soccer set, will be great tools to help my students ‘move it, move it!’

About my class
