Many of my students don't understand the value of reading a good book when they can just watch a movie. I want to instill in them the excitement that imagination can create by reading Bridge to Terabithia. By allowing them to follow along with the books, they will more easily understand the vocabulary and become more fluent readers. It has been proven that the more students read, the better they do academically in all subjects. I want to make students want to read and not just have to read in order to complete the assignment. I can help them listen to the book at school, but in order for them to be able to listen outside of school, I want to provide them with a CD to check out.

About my class
