Supporting Mental Health Through Mindful Activities

My high school students are using the project supplies to create moments of calm in their busy days. They have a selection of items to choose from when they need a moment to destress. The coloring pages and markers have been a definite favorite. The puzzle has challenged some and frustrated others. The beauty of the items is the ability to give choice to the students and to meet their individual needs.

Due to the large volume of students using the media center, they were not immediately aware of the items. Once they realized the items were available, you could see the joy on their faces. They tentatively and gratefully asked to use the items as they became aware that these items were for their free use.

The students are about to begin their next course with a new task provided to them. They now have the awareness of this resource to support them as testing, school demands, and life becomes harried. Thank you so much for your support in providing these resources for my students.”
