The Classroom Basics for my Third-Grade Class 2024-2025
Funded Sep 5, 2024A super big thanks to all of you. Miracles do happen and you are the people who caused it. The students are going to love their new school supplies. Now the students can be organized and neat. Their desks are going to be neat too. It will make learning much easier. Thank you again.”

Our Classroom Basics!
Funded Jan 5, 2024When the students received their pencil boxes and glue they were very excited because they had somewhere to keep their class materials. Most of all they were organized and ready for the day.
We used the glue to place our fraction bars into our notebooks and create little art projects.
The students can place their pencils, bookmarks, markers, erasers, rulers, glue, and sharpeners into their pencil boxes. Sometimes they keep their money in their too. They have a place to keep their stuff. I'm glad because the students will not be dropping or losing their materials. A super big thank you to you all.”

Mozart in the Making
Funded Oct 5, 2023The students were suprised to see the recorders come out of my closet. They were flabbergasted and once the students began to use an actual instrument, they loved it. Yes they need to practice however they love it.
I'd like to thank the donors who gave toward this project. The students will never be the same. I hope it brings inspiration to students and inspires them to learn a musical instrument in their future. These students live in a neighborhood that is limited economically.
Donors.... you have expanded a 3rd grade student's mind, inspired them, given them something to look forward to, and became a hero for these children. You may never meet these children, please know that your love and contribution will not be forgotten. Thank you.”

Math and Water ...Stat!
Funded Dec 30, 2022Thank you donors for the small whiteboards, dry-erase markers, and water bottles. The students were so excited to see the small whiteboards and markers. They were eager to use them. They were also excited about the water bottles - they really needed these.
We use the whiteboards for math. I write a problem on the board and they solve the problem on the whiteboards. Here I can see who is clearly understanding the work and who is not. Once the students are finished with work, they show me and I can see who grasped the lesson.
Now we have the water bottles. The students come in from gym all sweaty, tired, and thirsty. The students fill up their bottles with cold water and drink up. They do not have their own bottles, so the donation makes a difference for the students. Now that the weather is warming up, it will be especially handy to have these bottles for after lunch and after gym activities. Thank you donors for giving the students the whiteboards, makers, and bottles. It may seem like a small contribution, but it is huge to the kids.”

Funded May 11, 2020Thank you very much for your help. Especially during these difficult times of COVID19 any help from the community is much appreciated. Sound System for the New Dance Room
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donation to PS128 Audubon School in Washington Heights in New York City. When the speakers and stereo arrived, the dance teacher Mrs. Connelly was ecstatic and excited that her dance room would be filled with music - no more little boom box. I set up the whole system for her and she danced around the room in bliss (I didn't know you could do spinning dance moves to AC/DC). Then the students came in for dance class and the look on their faces was precious. "Wow" one student said while bouncing his body to the rhythm "this is loud." With the music filling the room the ballroom dance team came in to practice along with an after school program. What did they love? The music! This donation has made hundreds of kids happy.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.I Can Hear You Now!
Funded Apr 9, 2009First of all I would like to thank you for donating the headphones to us. I must admit although I am a classroom teacher but also am the school tech. That means I am a little busier than most teachers. We have installed new programs and received new laptop and desktop computers which means we were going to be much busier than before. With the headphones our students will now be able to focus on the task in front of them and enjoy learning a little bit more (also the classrooms and labs will be much quieter too).
Donorschoose and Wachovia has always been good to us and I thank you again for helping our class and school with your gracious helping hand. Thanks. ”

Viewing Video for Literature
Funded Apr 29, 2004I want to thank you on behalf of our class at P.S. 128 Audubon School in Manhattan, NY. My students are children who are from other countries and when teaching them they need to be taught with different methods. We write, we read, and we discuss about different subjects in class, but there one thing missing. My students also need the visual aspect of learning, and here is where you are contributing to students' learning. Here is where you make a huge difference for the 5th grade class at our school.
When specific subjects are taught, the DVD player is a great teaching aide and the students will learn more by seeing what we are discussing. For example, we read and write about Wolves and now we can see exciting documentaries about them. Thank you for you contribution to our 5th class, you will make lots of kids happy.
Sincerely,
Gilberto Maúrtua Jr.
