Thank you for your generous support of our students and community. My students are thrilled to receive these new materials, which will greatly enhance their learning experience. Your kindness and thoughtfulness make a meaningful difference in their education. We deeply appreciate your investment in their growth and success, and we look forward to sharing this wonderful news with their families.”

  • STEM in Kindergarten!

    Funded May 8, 2024

My students are using different transparent toys with the light table. They are using these materials to do engineering and science experiments along with the science curriculum. Also, to develop their creativity and math concepts to build new creations. This light table is one of the most common areas in the classroom, but my students can use the manipulatives at the regular table too. It is incredible how my students are developing vocabulary when they play with their peers.

My next step for my students is to add to these small people toys. They can work to build a community and extend their imagination.”

  • "Creative Writing and Art "

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

My students are using the 3-Tier Rolling carts with the pencil storage containers for creative writing activities, art projects and for the art class with the art teacher. I organized the glue, pencils, colored pencils, erasers, sticky glue and markers so they can use it as needed, and the materials are available and easy access. We can move the carts around to ensure free or safe space. My students are excited to use these materials and to develop their creativity. They are happy to share and help their peers with the free access to the materials.

My next steps for my students are to create a project for Thanksgiving with the collaboration of the art teacher. Students are going to create a playmat for their families. The art teacher is going to incorporate printing leaves, collage of pictures and I'm going to work with my students to add a small portion of writing about how they are grateful.

    Thank you for your support.”

  • Calming Corner

    Funded Jan 12, 2024

Thank you so much for your contribution towards our Calming Corner. Many of students are still struggling with the adjustment to our classroom and the challenges of the curriculum. We spend a lot of time on social emotional learning and community building within the classroom to strengthen our social skills. I am grateful that we now have these amazing tools to support students when they are feeling overwhelmed or upset. This calm corner has provided students with a safe space to gather their feelings and join right back into our lessons and activities. We are so thankful for all of the donations that have supported students in being successful learners!”

  • Be AMAZING, Be You!

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you for your generous contribution towards my project Be Amazing, Be you! giving my students the opportunity to have the manipulatives to help my student learn about size, shape, weight, length, height, counting, social skills and new vocabulary. With these materials my students can explore hands on activities, learn to share and develop problem solving; they represent ideas in more than one way, they promote communication among students, and they increase confidence, leading to less confusion and a deeper understanding.

    Thank you!”

  • Rewards for K5!

    Funded Jun 20, 2023

I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful donation to my classroom. My students have enjoyed to play with fidget toys and received rewards for their effort, attendance and good behavior. They took home their prices.

Every student craves validation and recognition for their efforts. Positive recognition serves as a catalyst for building self-esteem and self-confidence. The rewards encourage my students to perform better in academic and social skills. Awards for my students instill a sense of pride, which can help them meet or exceed their goals. Learning has come to life for my sweet kindergarten learners because of generous people like you. Thank you again!”

  • Calming Our Emotions in K!

    Funded Jun 28, 2023

Thank you for your donation and commitment with the education of our children. Our class now has a quiet, nice and comfortable area for our students to sit and calm-down. In this area they can read a bood, rest, sit or lie down, use fidget toys or stuffed animals to relax. Our calm-down corner provides our sudents a space in which they'll feel safe and learn to recognize and regulate their emotions in a healthy way.

We are excited to have this area available for our students for years to come. Each child deserves a peace space to be calm when needed.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hernandez

Our school has limited funds due to being in a high poverty district, which means play items get worn out and are unable to be replaced. I would like to add a new Farmer's Market to our cooperative play areas that will increase vocabulary (learning fruit and vegetable names), focus on healthy eating, tie into the community in which farmer's markets are readily available as well as improving basic social skills and imagination that have been hampered by the increased use and availability of technology. In addition, to tie in with the new vocabulary, I am in need of a new organizational system so that reading materials are readily available, differentiated and focused on improving student independence.
