Equal Math Education
Funded Aug 24, 2022With the increase in school supplies, all students have access to the materials they need to succeed. My students no longer have to stress or feel left out by not being prepared and can help themselves to pencils, markers, and scratch paper to do their math work. Additionally, the notebooks will let students stay organized on their notetaking by having a dedicated math notebook to use as a resource throughout the school year.
The students were excited to see the amount of materials donated because it created a level of comfort knowing their is enough for everyone to go around. The most popular is the pencil dispenser, since it is a "fun" procedure to get their materials and helps those that are usually embarrassed or shy about not being prepared to have what they need.
Now that all of my students are prepared with the materials they need to learn, we can move forward to build strong study and student skills to help prepare them for high school.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Arizona Department of Education.Chromebooks for 21st Century Learning
Funded Aug 16, 2016Currently I am working towards a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Technology. Utilizing technology helps me deliver more meaningful lessons to my students, causing them to learn more than they would've without technology as well as teaching them future skills. My school had a laptop for each student the previous years I was there, but due to school budgets and warranties running up, we transitioned to a 3:1 ratio. To put that in perspective, we only have 4 carts of Chromebooks to be shared amongst my whole school. Integrating technology was something I did in every lesson but was no longer able to do. Thanks to your donations, I am able to continue pushing my students and preparing them for the best.
By having the 4 Chromebooks and tablet through the generous donations, I am able to supplement what technology I have with what devices my students are able to bring in. Being in the socioeconomic area I teach in, many students do not have their own device. I can now provide them with the tools they need to further their understanding of content in my classroom and various technology skills.
One group of students who are especially thankful is my after school club. We are organizing a school news website where we can keep staff and student up to date with what is going on at school, in the community, and in the world. Without the devices donated, the club would not be possible and the students would not have the opportunity to learn these skills without your donations.”
With gratitude,
