Thank you for helping me obtain a gift card to TeachersPayTeachers. This year we are starting a new ELA curriculum and this resource will help me buy resources needed to enrich and supplement. One way I will use this gift card is to buy google slides of the lessons which will help my SWD and ELL students. Thank you for helping my students in this upcoming school year.”

  • Busy hands and Engaged Minds

    Funded Nov 16, 2021

Thank you for helping my class obtain materials to support our Gingerbread Unit. In the month of December, our class did a literacy unit on all the Gingerbread books. We read all the different versions of the book and then compared and contrasted them. At the end of the unit, we did a school-wide gingerbread hunt and completed book reports with the theme "Read, Read, as much as you can..." where the students used gingerbread templates to represent the characters of their favorite books. To celebrate this unit, I gifted the little gingerbread figurines to the kids.”

  • Help Kinders Hear Better

    Funded Sep 29, 2021

Thank you for helping me obtain this wireless amplifier for my classroom. With the windows open, air conditioner running and 2 air purifiers going all day, there is so much white noise it was hard for the students to hear me. I was constantly having to speak loudly which resulted in me getting a sore throat. Getting this amplifier allowed me to place the speaker in the back of the room so all the students could hear me clearly. I especially like that the headphones are wireless so it allowed me to walk around and assist the students as needed. This has been a game changer in my class and I truly appreciate it. Thank you”

  • Kinders Need Ink

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you for helping my class obtain some much needed ink for our printer. By providing this ink, I was able to print worksheets that review concepts I taught in class. I also was able to make color-copies of pages of books which allowed the students to observe in groups and document what they see. I included a picture of a task in which the students observed the setting in a book and then documented their observation through writing. This ink also allowed me to print out craft activities reviewing concepts such as expanded form. I included a picture of their expanding monster craft the students completed in class. Thank you so much for helping me provide these materials to my students.”

The sanitizer has been placed on the children's desks to be used throughout the day and in situations where it is needed instantly such as when sneezing, coughing etc... Lastly, the masks have been beneficial because the children would always need new ones when theirs dropped on the floor or broke. I teach a general education kindergarten class that is comprised of students of all capabilities. Many of my students come from families who are new to the country, therefore they are learning the English language. I also have some students who require special services. My students come from varied backgrounds with different economic needs. I am excited that my boys and girls are reading and writing! Many of them are reading at second grade level and I am very proud of them for that. They come to school everyday eager to learn.
