Super Science Seats
Funded Aug 2, 2023I wanted to share the exciting news regarding our classroom furniture.
Thanks to your generous donations we acquired five new stools for our classroom. These stools are not only aesthetically pleasing but also provide more comfort and support for our students.
To ensure the stools were assembled properly, we enlisted the help of our shop teacher and a few of his dedicated students. It took about a week for them to complete the assembly process.
Once the stools were ready, we immediately replaced the standard stools in our classroom. The response from the students has been overwhelmingly positive. They now eagerly vie for one of the new stools upon entering the classroom, and I am pleased to report a significant decrease in any complaints about discomfort during class.
I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the generous donors and to our shop teacher and the students involved in assembling the stools. Their efforts have greatly improved the learning environment for our students, allowing them to focus more effectively on their work.”

Funded Dec 9, 2021Here we are in another year that has been impacted by the pandemic. It took me a little longer than I care to admit to really get the message that we needed some extra fun in my classes this year! Well, you helped bring that fun to my room and my students. We had a great time using the games and supplies you donated. Our midterm review was all about minute-to-win-it stations and was a great success. These supplies will be used for years to come and students will create some great memories. I want to thank you again for your generosity and support.”

Funded Nov 22, 2021We are just a few days away from our holiday break. The bin of board games has been making its way through several of our 8th-grade classrooms. I can say that it has been a joy to hear and see our students working together peacefully and laughing along the way. This is what they have missed out on for many months. This is what they are in need of at this moment. They are so enjoying the opportunity to relax, play, chat, and be with one another. The teachers are also noticing the lightening of the mood which spreads into our days. Thank you for helping us put this together.”

Get Growing Little Fast Plants
Funded Dec 10, 2019I have been a science teacher for 6 years now. I grew up in a family that loved to garden and I think students of all ages can enjoy the pleasure of planting a seed and seeing it grow.
Over the last few years, I have tried various seed growing setups and methods. Students have had to determine what factors are testable and decide what variables they wanted to change. We have tried things from using worm compost to watering plants with soda.
This year I was so thankful to have a proper grow light and the supplies to make the experiments go smoothly. Students were eager to get their hands on the project and literally get their hands dirty. Many groups named their quads and go straight over to the setup to check on their "babies" when they come into the classroom.
I would like to again thank you for your generosity. These supplies will be used again year after year and make our growing experiments easy and fun.”

Encouraging Social and Emotional Intelligence
Funded May 23, 2019Thank you so much for contributing to my first project. My fellow 8th-grade teachers and I believe that the work we are doing around social and emotional learning is very important. This book and card sets have helped us start the year off on the right foot.
Every day we meet with our class where SEL is the goal. We are regularly leading classroom circles and using the prompts from the Circle Forward book to guide us. We are also beginning to integrate the mindfulness conversation starters and games. I am particularly enjoying the Rethink Card Deck with the Mindful Conversation Starters.
With these items, you have helped us help students. We are grateful for your support and these tools are truly making a difference in how we reach students, build trust, and build our classroom communities.”
