• Fusing STEM Learning With Performing Arts

  Thanks to your generous donation I was be able to infuse Performing Arts with Technology and Science and develop critical thinkers that expanded their learning boundaries beyond the classroom and towards a global understanding.

  Students collaborated to synthesize the solar system information gathered into scripted performance skits. Using the high quality GoPro action video camera, student teams filmed and premiered original STEM video productions school wide. My hope was to inspire students towards the pursuit of educating the whole mind. I think I met that goal with your wonderful donation.

LEGO bricks and coding with the Google Chromebook has brought engineering and coding to life with a fun, hands-on creative building activities that engages all my students and has provided them with the necessary 21st century skills. They've particularly have enjoyed building and programming a rescue helicopter and race car. The energy in the classroom during our STEM block now with these new resources is amazing!

  Thank you, my students are deeply grateful for supporting their educational journey. Students worked in cooperative groups as they used the Lego WeDo bricks and Chromebooks to engage in project-based learning to produce robotic creations, and used coding to program their robots to complete a specific action and task. Students then present their final robotics project to their classroom and school peers. The excitement, learning, and joy as they experienced true STEM activities is immeasurable. Thanks a million!”

• Engineering, Invention and Robotics

  Thank you, my students are deeply grateful for supporting their educational journey. My students engaged in engineering design as they built an invented a self-driving vehicle. Students designed an electric car of the future with littleBits as they experiment with motion and stability. Students tested and ran their invented self-driving vehicle outdoors. Students then used the Sparks Quadcopter to shoot outdoor aerial video footage of their robotics project at various angles and heights. The excitement, learning, and joy they experienced is immeasurable. Thanks a million!”

• Invention, Engineering, and Robotics in Third Grade

  I am extremely grateful for the full funding of my STEM project. Your generosity has brought littleBits technology to my classroom and has helped make abstract STEM concepts tangible to my students and provide them with the necessary 21st century skills. My student have used the littleBits technology to be creative problem-solvers and apply STEM knowledge and skills to be innovative and imaginative thinkers.

  Students engaged in engineering design as they built their own automatic artistic assistant and explored environmental sensors as they created alarms that safeguard their school supplies, for example their backpack.

• Sportsmanship, Athletics, and Life Skills Through a Soccer Club

  I am extremely grateful for the full funding of my sports project. Thanks to your generosity my students have participated, learned, and enjoyed the athleticism and camaraderie of our school's soccer club.

  Participating in team sports in the soccer club has given students the opportunity to gain an understanding of both winning and losing, as well as recognizing the value of every teammates' abilities in contributing toward a shared goal.

  The soccer sports team uses the soccer balls, electric ball air pump, ball storage mesh bag and goalie nets to condition students to regular exercise, which has helped boost immunity and contribute to their overall physical health. • Backpacks for School Readiness and Learning

  Funded Mar 10, 2017

  Thank you for providing a sturdy canvas backpack for each of my students. My students benefited from having a spacious backpack for school readiness. Each student beamed with excitement at having a beautiful new backpack to call their own. Students were able to carry their Science, Math and library books home for daily homework activities and projects. Students kept their backpacks clean and organized and wore them with pride. Also, my students felt well prepared for school, and increased their self-esteem and motivation to learn.
