  • Creating Drone Nature Videos of Our School Community

    Funded Aug 18, 2023

Thanks a million! Thanks to your generosity in funding this project students were able to engage in state-of-the-art STEM learning.

Students used the DJI Mini 2 Fly drone to get a unique bird's eye view of the community and compared and contrasted the urban elements to the natural landscape of the community, which included observing the plants and animals that inhabit the school community. Students sketched the wildlife and landscape they observe first as they took a nature walk around the school community and afterwards, they added to their Nature Journal what they observe in the DJI Mini 2 Fly drone video recordings of the community.

Students produced short video films by editing the DJI Mini 2 Fly drone video footage and narrated a description of the landscape and nature they observed in our school community.

Thank you so much for your generosity and educational support!”

    With gratitude,

  • Essential School Supplies for Classroom Learning

    Funded Sep 26, 2023

Thanks a million! My students are beyond grateful for the school supplies. The school supplies went a long way in supporting my students learning and facilitated the daily procedures and routines of the classroom. It helped my students be well organized and prepared to complete individual and group projects.

Pens, erasers, staplers, glue sticks, and markers allowed my students to write creative essays and keep them organized. Also, these supplies helped students produce collaborative posters, artwork, and crafts. Students used the Sticky Notes to take notes and annotate as they read informational text and literature. Further, students used the pencil pouches and storage bins to organize all their materials and keep them readily accessible to use throughout the day as they engaged in a variety of learning opportunities and tasks.

    Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Munoz

  • iPad Technology for the 21st Century Student

    Funded Apr 21, 2022

My students are ecstatic and beyond grateful to have brand new iPads for daily use in the classroom. They have been able to access many arts and literacy apps to create original art pieces and use them as inspiration for creative writing.

Students shared and collaborated with their peers to discuss and critique their artwork. These worthwhile experiences made possible by having iPads as an instructional tool facilitated innovative learning in the classroom and immersed students in imaginative literary art projects.

    Thanks a million!”

  • Flexible Seating for Active and Engaged Learning in 3rd Grade

    Funded Mar 8, 2020

Thank you so much for your donation of the Lakeshore soft seats. My students are highly active learners that needed flexibility from the traditional seating available in my classroom and the soft seats is just what they needed. Thanks to the soft seats students attention spans increased. Having the option to go from their regular chairs to soft seats allowed students to fidget and move through different seating options and engaged students' brains in more active learning during classroom whole group, small group, and independent daily learning activities.

The Lakeshore soft seats helped students sit comfortably for prolonged periods of time than they were able to on our current classroom rug. During whole-group activities, for example, during story read-aloud time or circle time, students were able to pay attention for a longer period and increase their comprehension of the story while seated on these cushioned seats.

With your generous support, students' daily classroom engagement, motivation, and learning increased dramatically by providing flexible seating.

    Thanks a million!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Munoz

  • STEM Lab in Third Grade

    Funded Mar 26, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation of the Tinkering Labs Electric Motors, Engino Discovering STEM Structures Constructions & Bridges, and Pica Toys Solar Car V1 Model STEM Kits. As a result of your generosity students were able to explore hands-on science, math, and engineering activities.

For example, using the Engino Discovering STEM Structures Constructions & Bridges STEM kit students completed meaningful projects to solve real-life problems faced around the globe—using STEM skills to find inventive solutions.

Students conducted research and used the information they learned to complete a hands-on STEM project. Students built and tested a model home that runs on solar power. The Tinkering Labs Electric Motors Catalyst, Robotics Stem Kit helped students think like real scientists and engineers as they explored the STEM design process and solve problems. Students planned, built and tested their designs, then improved them until they were successful.

Students through STEM activities using the Pica Toys Solar Car V1 Model Kits and the other STEM Kits will developed skills in problem solving, perseverance, cause and effect, engineering practices, and the design process. Also and most importantly, students thrived as they worked cooperatively in their learning process.

    Thanks a million!”
