  • Because Of Winn-Dixie... Because of Third Grade

    Funded Jun 6, 2019

I want to thank you so much for your wonderful donation to my project of a class set of Because of Winn-Dixie books.

My students will have a brand new set of books to read as a class without pages missing or pages that are ripped.

As I begin this new school year, my students will have the opportunity to read the book in small groups and discuss each chapter and write summaries while collaborating with their peers.

I'm so grateful for the kindness you have shown my students. Reading a good book can take you places!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Varela

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom project of one updated laptop.

My students will be so excited to use this brand new laptop. They will be able to download pictures and information quickly and use google classroom to complete their assignments.

This is the 21st century and in this day and age students use laptops daily in class. That's why it's so important my students have updated technological tools like a laptop. They will benefit greatly being able to use this new laptop.”

  • We Need a Class Set of Horrible Harry!

    Funded Mar 22, 2019

Thank you so much for your generous donation of a class set of Horrible Harry books. This is a third grade level book. My students can listen to the story being read to them on audibles.

Students are able to answer chapter questions by collaborating in small groups. They will type up their summary to share with their group. This is such an awesome opportunity for my students to take their books home and read a few chapters at home and the next day have a discussion in their small groups.

Once again I can't tell you how excited I am to begin this chapter book with my students. We are so grateful!”

Wow I'm so very grateful to all my donors who helped fully fund this project. Coding is such an important STEM skill. I can't wait to introduce coding to my third graders. These Mini Sphero are the perfect introduction to coding.

Open House is just around the corner for us and I plan to show off my students coding skills by having my students show their parents what they have learned by using these Mini Sphero balls.

Thank you for believing in my students and donating to this project. We love you!”

  • Making an Impression With Color!

    Funded Jan 4, 2019

Thank you so much for helping our dream come true. My students have been using a printer but it's only one color, black. My students can't really see their beautiful charts, pictures and graphs the way they see it on their computers. They were disappointed when their work would print out. Now my students can print in color!!! I can't wait for our first colored print.

We will be the only class in the whole school to have this very special technology tool. My students will be able to display their beautiful colorful papers all over our classroom!

Thank you so much to all the donors who believe that students deserve to have a colored printer!”

  • 3D Printer for Future Engineers

    Funded Oct 16, 2018

Thank you so much for your generosity. Your donation help my project get fully funded. My students will now have a classroom three-dimensional printer. My students will be able to create 3D objects using this new 3D printer.

Most of my students do not have technology tools at home. As a class we only have limited access to the computer lab which has two outdated 3D printers. Now we will be able to print in the class anytime we want using the newest 3D printer.

My class and I are so grateful and we appreciated your kind donations.”

  • Earbuds Needed!

    Funded Sep 8, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my project. My students needed updated earbuds since most of the current headsets are too tight and they can't wear them for very long. Not to mention, most are not working because they are very old.

I'm so happy to know that my third graders will be able to use these brand new earbuds all year long. They need them at least half the school day. We have videos we watch daily and my students take language art, social studies and math tests on line. By having their personal earbuds, my students will be able to concentrate on their work without getting red ears. I'm so grateful you love my students as much as I do! Thank you!”

Thank you so much for your wonderful and generous donation. My students were so excited to see our box with our new iPad inside. We are using the doink app to create our weekly school news. We really needed a better technological tool in order to produce our news.

I can't tell you how happy I am knowing you care so much about my students and their education. We are so grateful. We can't wait to share our new iPad within the class and use all the free apple apps too.

We are a K-6 school. I teach third grade. My students come from a low socioeconomic background. They have limited life experiences and are at-risk students, but I know they are bright and capable of doing anything. They are eager to learn. They come to school daily with smiles on their faces with daily homework completed, waiting to learn. I am so proud of them and how hard my students work each day. For this reason I am hoping I can get one laptop for my class.
