  • "With Organization comes Empowerment." By Lynda Peterson

    Funded Mar 14, 2022

Thank you for all the organizational items. We used the carts and shelves to organize books, folders, reading groups, tutoring groups, supplies and much more. When we received the boxes the students were very excited. They wanted to know what was in them. As soon as we opened them, they began putting things together and organizing everything. One of the shelves was used to organize our guided reading groups. We kept it next to the kidney table where we had our reading groups. It made transitions so easy.

I am hoping to request more snacks and cleaning supplies and use these storage tools to keep them organized in my room.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Zamarron

  • COVID Clean

    Funded Feb 7, 2022

We greatly appreciate your generosity. My students were very happy when they received the materials. At the end of each class, students would clean up. They would sweep, clean the desks, their laptops, their hands and anything else they touched. While most of the classrooms were running out of PPE, I still had what I needed in my classroom. Student's were pleased to have the materials and when other teachers needed something, they would ask me. It was a pleasure to be able to share. I hope to continue asking for PPE donations so that my students can work in a clean environment.”

  • More Literacy for Jerseys !!!

    Funded Jun 30, 2021

Thank you so much for the jerseys. My students were very eager to CONTINUE earning their jerseys. Students who completed their reading assignments with a 100% were allowed to choose a jersey of their choice.

When they first saw the shirts, they were very excited, especially because the shirts represented their home country, which they miss. Students were able to wear their jerseys on Thursdays of each week.

This is definitely one of my favorite projects because the students love the shirts and wear them with pride. I hope to repeat this project every year. Thank you for all of your generosity.”

  • Speak it Loud!

    Funded Apr 27, 2021

This microphone set and individual microphones are wonderful to get my students, especially the boys to start talking. They were so excited when I told them they could set up the entire system. One of them read the instructions, in English, as the others began putting the system together. I believe that because they put it together themselves, they were more appreciative and excited to use it. They pretended to be a teacher and teach the others and ask each other questions. They honestly had great fun and I had fun watching them practice their English. We are so appreciative to you for donating the funds we needed to purchase these microphones.”

  • Literacy for Jerseys

    Funded May 5, 2021

I have give you all a great shout out. These soccer jerseys and memorabilia have been great. They have definitely motivated my students to do well in their end of year literacy exams. Almost all of my students improved in their scores compared to their middle of the year exams and they continue to ask, "What can I do to get a better grade and get a jersey?" Their intentions may not be pure, but what they will remember is that if they are motivated and work hard, they can meet their goals. This project was so successful, that I want to do another one. I have given away most of the jerseys, even to some of my ex-students who also needed the motivation to improve their grades. They immediately made up for lost assignments. I definitely need more jerseys and cultural memorabilia to give out as prizes for hard working students. Thank you so much donors. You have given my students prizes and most important, memories that will last a life time.”

  • Virtual Supplies

    Funded Mar 31, 2021

Thank you for the headphones. We are always needing headphones for our students. They get lost and broken often. Thank you for the snacks and juices. The students love those the most, especially the juices. They seem to be always hungry and thirty, therefore, your donations of snacks are wonderful. The water bottles really help. Students can fill them up and use them during the day.

We are all very grateful to you for all that you have done for us. Students love the art supplies as well. When they need a break, they get to draw and calm themselves. Drawing allows the brain to rest from the strenuous school activities. During these COVID times, they stay in the same classroom for several hours. They need to have different types of breaks from academic work so that they can continue to feel like children and enjoy the day.”

  • "Drawing is Vision on Paper" ~Andrew Loomis

    Funded Feb 20, 2021

Thank you for funding my Drawing project. My students are very inspired and were very excited. I have included some of their drawings. Allowing them time to draw helps them calm down, relax and relieve stress. I will sometimes give them 10 minutes during class to allow them to draw and those who want can share their drawing. It has been a great brain break for myself and my students. Students especially loved the drawing journals and asked if they could get an extra one to give it to their friends. You have given them a wonderful gift.

    Thank you again.”

  • Teacher Working Smarter, NOT Harder!

    Funded Jan 1, 2021

I was amazed at how soon my project got funded. It was so much fun going shopping on the website, Teachers pay Teachers. This website is the go-to place for educators to find the resources and knowledge that they need to help their students. Although I teach middle school, many of my students are at a kinder level in reading and writing. Shopping at TpT is like entering into a giant classroom that houses all grade levels with more than millions of resources created by educators who understand what works in the classroom. The variety of resources I was able to purchase will help me differentiate for my students and not spend so much time planning. Most of the resources I bought have everything already prepared. Thank you so much for making my job easier and my student's education more diverse.”

  • The World of Books

    Funded Jan 26, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to my project of audio books. My students have enjoyed the stories we purchased them and have listened to them many times. I realized that when it comes to helping children learn to read, audiobooks helps children with the process of identifying words by modeling fluent reading and expanding their vocabulary.

It also helps motivate new or struggling readers, which is most of my class, by giving them a taste of how fun reading will become as they become more fluent. I just want you to know that your donations are helping my students improve their reading, which will make them better students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Zamarron

  • Time Flies When You Are Having Fun!

    Funded Dec 10, 2020

Thank you so much for these interactive educational games. I have been using them for tutoring. The one I use the most is sight words. Students love this game. I can see their improvement the more we play.

Students come to tutoring exciting and ready to play. I don't know if they realize that they are learning, but they rush me into starting the bingo games as soon as possible. The games we play are all about language arts and help increase their abilities and skills to learn to read and write.

Thank you again for your generosity.”
