Creative Kids
Funded Sep 7, 2018In sincere appreciation, I would like to share a few highlights from our classroom use of the maker space supplies that our students have obtained due to your generous donations. Although not all students have had a chance to rotate through the stations yet, students from third, fourth, and fifth grades have all had the opportunity to create projects in these stations. Each grade has shown great enthusiasm!
While monitoring students in maker space stations, I observed fantastic creativity, teamwork, and overheard many exciting comments passing between students. Here are a few: "I figured out how to...", "You're a genius!", "Hmmm... How am I going to move this?", "This is so stinkin' cool!", "So, what are you going to build?", "Not yet - we've got to make this stable first." I hope that as you read these, you can feel a touch of the inspiration and creative thinking that goes on during maker space sessions.
I anxiously look forward to our next maker space rotation in the library. Once again, thank you so very much for your donations!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ivy Warf
