Students - My students are academically gifted and because of this they have spent a lot of time in other classes teaching others, reading and/or getting in trouble. Many of them come to this class hating school because "it's a waste of time." This is the year where the children start to discover a love for learning, a desire for challenge and a sense of pride for accomplishing something hard. They realize that they are important and they have the right to learn everyday. They are able to see the importance of learning, having a good attitude and never giving up. School - Our school's mission statement declares, "Our school's community creates, develops, and promotes responsible life long learners." Our theme for this year is, "Building a community of learners one student at a time." Helping students reach their full potential is the goal of the staff at our school. It is a place of safety, encouragement and a fun loving atmosphere. It truly promotes
