I came from a long career as an early elementary teacher to being a high school teacher, and the world up here is different. My students are Resource and General Education English (ELA) students who are still working on being strong readers in high school. Many are special education, English-Language-Learners, and come from different backgrounds than my own. They need extra grace, extrinsic motivation, love and support. While I want to buy them the world, times are tight and I appreciate any support from the outside we can get. Together we can change their future.
