Teaching students how to organize and be responsible for their personal materials has a direct impact on their ability to succeed in education and throughout their lives. New book bins will help teach my first graders organizational skills and allow them to keep their independent reading books easily accessible. This year in addition to academics- we will also be learning how to take care of our materials and become more self-sufficient learners. Students store their various writing journals, folders, papers, and books in their book bins. Throughout the year we work on following directions to keep our books bins neat and organized so we can squeeze every last minute of learning together out of our day instead of looking for lost notebooks or papers.
