  • Stable Book Boxes

    Funded Feb 21, 2025

Thank you for giving us stable organization for our classroom library and independent learning centers.

The book boxes we have been using from the dollar tree really struggle to stay up right spilling student materials all over the room and floor and cracking the edges of the hard plastic creating cuts and chaos.

These new book boxes are thick hard plastic and will last us (hopefully) for years to come.

My students have already noticed a daily difference with the new book boxes and are so grateful for this new addition.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Steele

  • Library Face Lift

    Funded Feb 12, 2025

Thank you for giving our library a facelift.

The remarkable readers that I have in my class this year love to explore new books and worlds on a daily basis and are constantly asking me for more and more books.

They have been reading our new books, specifically our Pokemon and Bluey books non-stop.

When we unboxed the new books I saw their eyes light up, it was like Christmas morning in our classroom.

By donating to this project and supplying us with these books you have helped to foster lifelong love of reading in my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Steele

  • 100th Day

    Funded Feb 9, 2025

Thank you for giving my students an unforgettable day last Friday when they showed up to me wearing a silly old woman's costume and pretending to be 100 years old.

They could not have been more excited to put on their 100-day smarter crown and glasses with a mustache to make them look older.

They loved listening to 100 Day Disaster as a class and then completing the aligned self-portrait of themselves as 100-year-olds.

I know that thanks to you they will never forget the first grade celebration we had for our 100th day of school.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Steele

  • Tablet for Intervention

    Funded Feb 7, 2025

Thank you for giving my class a Leapfrog tablet for student intervention and differentiation.

I requested this tablet specifically for students with behavior needs that impact their ability to learn and participate with the rest of the class.

This tablet will be utilized to serve a handful of students I have this year as well as my future students in curating differentiated and appropriate learning paths based on their individual needs.

Having the tablet as an earned reward that still works to better their academic skills will help to both motivate and teach.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Steele

  • SEL Tools

    Funded Dec 30, 2024

Thank you for helping provide my large class with social emotional tools that have been helping them regulate and return to the green zone when life gets in the way of learning.

My students LOVE their rainbow writing tablets, they use them write, draw and do math. They are amazing calming tools that we use everyday.

The foam and toys that go with it provide a structured sensory break for my students who need additional support with focus, and staying calm.

Your support of our classroom helps us show up calming and more focused everyday!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Steele

  • Holiday Experiential Learning

    Funded Nov 17, 2024

Thank your for creating magic this holiday season.

With your help my students are going to have the opportunity to globe trot all over the world to countries they have never even heard of.

They will not only get to read and learn about holiday traditions from all over the world but will get to try the food and create their own crafts inspired by other cultures and countries.

This project allows students to feel represented and exposes them to lots of interesting new traditions and will be a magical way to spend the coming weeks before the holidays hit.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Steele

  • Classroom Essentials

    Funded Oct 8, 2024

Thank you for your help in getting my classroom stocked up on basics.

The pre-sharpened pencils have been a game changer as I no longer need to stop lessons multiple times to sharpen student pencils. I can instead go and grab an already sharp and ready to use pencil as needed.

My students have been loving the doodle boards and have been using them to practice letter formation as well as appropriate emotional expression.

Our new diverse books have helped us incorperate more student cultures and traditions into our classroom life.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Steele

  • New Headphones!

    Funded May 16, 2024

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to provide my students with comfortable headphones that allow them sensory relief.

The headphones that we are provided in our classroom are rigid, uncomfortable, easily broken, and sometimes painful.

These new headphones have very nice cushions and are adjustable for students ears and heads so they can comfortably assess online aspects of our math and reading curriculum.

These headphones will help remove barriers for my students in accessing their learning on a daily basis.”

    With gratitude,

  • Pocket Translator For Community Building

    Funded Mar 5, 2024

Thank you for providing me, my class, and our community with a pocket translator which can serve as huge community support in our multi-lingual community.

This translator allows me to hold meetings with and have general casual conversations not only with my students but with their parents and families as well. Having a pocket translator makes it easier for me to communicate with families that I may normally never hear from due to language barriers.

This translator has so many languages including those that are common and rare to aid all students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Steele
