My students come from a variety of backgrounds, are currently located in the downtown area of flushing, and come from predominantly low income households. We are in a Title I school with a high ENL (enlish as a new language) population and significant special education population. My students have a variety of passions I want to encourage them to follow, and academic and emotional needs that I want to continue to support them with. Our class is striving for strong foundations in all content area, the ability to think critically, acknowledging and celebrating diversity, recognizing and managing emotions, and setting and monitoring our goals.
