Funded May 8, 2024The third graders have truly developed a green thumb! Thanks to your support, they have been able to observe the life cycles of tomatoes and jalapeños right from the comfort of our classroom.
The students eagerly watched as tiny seeds sprouted into delicate seedlings, and with each passing day, their excitement grew alongside the plants. They diligently cared for their garden, learning about the importance of sunlight, water, and nutrients.
As the plants matured, the children marveled at the vibrant green leaves and the first signs of budding flowers. When the tomatoes turned a ripe red and the jalapeños a deep green, the classroom was filled with joy and a sense of accomplishment. The students even had the chance to taste the fruits of their labor! We also shared our bounty with our cafeteria!
This hands-on experience helped instilled a sense of responsibility and environmental awareness in their hearts.”
With gratitude,
