  • Comfy Classroom

    Thank you so much for your kind donation . Different types of comfortable seating do wonders in creating a welcoming classroom environment. Most of us don't want to stay seated at an uncomfortable hard desk all day. With a carpet, a beanbag and floor cushions, our students are able to choose seating options that make them feel comfortable and ready to learn. Many of our students like to sit on the carpet together and work on reading and math work. It becomes a real place of community and collaboration, and helps the students feel at home in their classroom.”

  • Plenty of Pages: Books for our Classroom

    Thank you so much for your kind donation. Books are very important in creating lifelong readers. It is so important for us to have interesting and relatable and representative reading information in our classroom so that our students learn to love and enjoy reading the donation that you made helped us acquire fun, interesting texts, both in fiction and nonfiction. The kids are able to make their choices and read and enjoy different kinds of books. They are excited to select books off the shelves. They talk about the different books that they read, share favorites with each other, and have great discussions about what they have learned.”

  • Multi Sensory Magic!

    Thank you again for donating to our classroom. My students love to get creative and explore a variety of topics through artistic means.

    This has been especially helpful for our social studies projects. From making dioramas to maps of Pangea, the multi sensory tools that you were able to give them helped unlock new understanding.

    After reading about and discussing Pangea, one of our students was still having a difficult time grasping to concept. When she was able to create her own Pangea puzzle using the paper, card stock, crayons, and art resources from this funded project, she said "Wow, it's like the continents fit together!" She was then able to make connections between Pangea and the current layout of the continents. This is just one small example of how a hands on creative project can enhance a student's educational experience.
