I am asking for yards of fleece fabric so that my students can make hand-made blankets for the elderly in a local assisted living community in South Stockton! This community service project in my AVID 10 class will assist students in developing empathy and compassion for those in their community. Students will develop collaborative skills working with their peers while improving the community around them. It is important that the South Stockton community sees our students for who they truly are: kind, compassionate, thoughtful, and hardworking students. This project will allow students to interact with the community while improving the world around them.

About my class
