Small Group Learning!
Funded Mar 26, 2025Thank you so much for supporting Class 2-310. The class is so excited to receive the new kidney table for when we work in small groups. The kidney table will be a huge help when we have group work and need to share ideas, resources and materials. Your generous donations are helping to make our classroom an even better place to learn and grow!”

Funded Nov 12, 2024Thank you so much for fulfilling my project "Headphones All Around". The headphones are a wonderful addition to our classroom. The students are enjoying having their own set of headphones to work on our laptops. This allows students to focus and achieve their best work!
The headphone storage organizer allows students easy access to their headphones and decreases clutter in our classroom. Students can independently find and return their headphones with ease.
We are so thankful that we can individualize our learning without disturbing or distracting our neighbors. Thank you for supporting our learning journey and giving us the opportunity to access technology as an educational resource.”

Flexible Seating and Group Work
Funded Sep 30, 2024Thank you so much for funding our Flexible Seating and Group Work project to support our classroom. The students were so excited and eager to explore the materials when they arrived in the classroom.
The students were thrilled about the new dry erase board which supports us when we work with our Fundations program. This allows me to display charts that students refer to for vowel teams, trick words and glued sounds. The board is also extremely helpful when we are working on our descriptive writing unit. I am now able to display graphic organizers and word banks to make our writing more juicy!
In addition, the flexible seating options have had a tremendous impact on our learning. The seat cushions and wobble seat options create a moving surface for students to sit on. This movement allows students to be more alert and stay engaged on the tasks they are working on. Thanks again for helping us to achieve our learning goals!”

Document Camera to Zoom in on Learning!
Funded Nov 28, 2023Thank you so much for contributing to our project! The students have really benefited from the flip charts. We have used them for multiple activities in our classroom. They are especially helpful for displaying anchor charts for math and english languages arts. When a new skill is introduced, I like to the display the anchor chart with skill we ware working on each table. That way students can refer back to the chart if they have any confusion and it is easily accessible for them to use. In addition, we have used the flip charts for our recent social studies unit, where we have been examining various maps and learning about how maps provide different sources of information.
The document camera is also handy as it helps when we explore exemplar pieces of writing for our unit on descriptive essays. We are able to see various writing samples and identify what made them quality pieces of writing. This helped as we revised and editing our writing to produce our best work!”

Funded Oct 12, 2019Thank you so much for helping our class to achieve the goal of getting an iPad for our class. The students were so excited to get the iPad and are extremely eager to incorporate the iPad into their learning.
For starters, we have been using the iPad to support our practice with our multiplication and division facts which is a critical skill for 3rd graders. There are ton of games available on the iPad to help reinforce the facts which makes learning fun.
In writing, we are using the iPad to help research topics for our informational writing unit. We are becoming experts on various topics and incorporating text features such as diagrams, charts, illustrations and fun facts into our writing pieces.
We are so fortunate to have this piece of technology available in our classroom. We look forward to the many more opportunites to include this tool in our learning process!”

Funded Mar 28, 2019Thank you so much for the amazing gift you have given to my students. The iPads are a huge hit in the classroom. The students are utilizing the iPads in more ways than I could have ever imagined.
Many of the students are currently using the iPads as a resource for our unit on Nigeria in Social Studies. They are constantly fact checking or digging deeply into topics that have come up while reading from our non-fiction trade books. The iPads are also useful for my students to review their multiplication and division facts as we prepare for our State test in a fun and interactive way. In writing, we are using the iPads to gather information and data to support our persuasive writing pieces. A bonus of the iPads is that students are working productively in their partnerships. They are learning to cooperate and communicate. They are also teaching each other about new websites and strategies to master their research skills.
Overall, the iPads have truly been a gift to the students to access knowledge and maximize their understanding of world being bigger than our classroom.”

Full STEAM Ahead!
Funded Feb 3, 2018The students are using our new resources during our STEAM/STEM enrichment periods. They are using the K'nex kits to learn about building, following directions and working collaboratively with their partners or small groups. One of the favorite kits so far is the K'Nex roller coaster set which students describe as "Totally awesome!". The students are also enjoying the force and motion kit as it is a reinforcement of a unit we just completed. The magnet kit was so helpful in launching our next unit on magnets. Students were super hyped to explore with the different magnets.
From the moment the materials arrived my students were ecstatic. They were so excited as I opened the boxes and shared all the materials with class. They could not believe the donors were so generous and that they would be the first students to have the opportunity to work with the materials. They were also shocked in how quickly our project was fully funded.
For our next steps, students want to create a class book with photos to chronicle the different creations groups have designed using the materials. We are also planning to hopefully invite parents in to show off how amazing our materials are and to encourage the parents to see the benefit of incorporating STEM/STEAM into our curriculum.”
